Less Is More - Guest Designer!

Good morning LIMettes!
I am super excited this morning because I have been asked to be a guest designer this week at Less Is More for this week's challenge! Now, as much as I will miss getting up at 8am and quickly creating a card in 15 minutes, I have to say that I am sure I am enjoying a lie-in as this post publishes itself!

So this week the challenge is

SCALLOPS

I have lots of things with scallops on, so I am going to show you a few cards this morning.

Here is the first...

For this one, I have used Delicate Designs embossing folder which I think gives a lovely lacy effect. The sentiment is from Vintage Verses and I the ribbon is Wisteria Wonder Ruffled Edge. The clever thing here is the scalloped circle. It is made by using the Small Heart punch. Clever eh?

So onto the next card, which is for a commission...

For the background on this one I heat embossed the flourish from the Flowering Flourishes set. The sentiment is computer generated and foiled with Jen's Foil It machine, then cut out using the Labels Collection Framelits. The scalloped border was again created using the Small Heart Punch.

The final card is also for a commission and is similar to the previous card...

I made the scallops on this card using the Adorning Accents Edglits and the embossed strip is from the Adorning Accents Embossing Folders.

Supplies
Cardstock - Whisper White, Daffodil Delight
Stamps - Vintage Verses (SAB)
Inks - Daffodil Delight, Wisteria Wonder
Embossing - Delicate Designs, Adorning Accents
Dies - Adorning Accents Edglits, Labels Collection Framelits
Punch - Small Heart
Ribbon - Ruffled Edge

I am entering the last card into the challenge at Sketch 'n Stash this week....

Mittens!

Good afternoon!
I have a super quick card to show you before I head off to visit my parents in Huddersfield...

I haven't made many Christmas cards yet this year, and with it still feeling wintery with the weather, I think I got inspired lol!

Quite simply, this is made using the Make a Mitten stamp set, and the Nicely Knit Stampin' Around Wheel...first time I used it! The sentiment is.....yup! Teeny Tiny Sentiments! All the stamping is done with Riding Hood Red to give a Nordic feel.

Supplies
Cardstock - Whisper White
Stamps - Make a Mitten, Teeny Tiny Sentiments, Nicely Knit Stampin' Around Wheel
Ink - Riding Hood Red

Get Well Wishes

Good morning!
I really wanted to post a card on Tuesday evening, that I made for an order, but the challenge had closed by the time I had, due to having a bit of a horrible afternoon! I went to the doctors as I have been in a lot of pain with my stomach for a few days, got a prescription, put the meds in the boot, then managed to crack Keiran on the head with the corner of the boot :'( So a trip to A&E so they could glue him back together, and by the time we got home, it was too late for anything! I am very pleased to report that Keiran has had no ill effects from his trauma and my stomach is starting to feel much better!

So before I treat him to a day out at Legoland Discovery, I am going to post a different card that I managed to put together last night...

I have used the Secret Garden Bundle here to make my flower, stamping it in Regal Rose onto Pretty In Pink card.

The sentiment is from Teeny Tiny Sentiments - I think I surreptitiously made a get well card for the both of us lol! I finished with a few beads for the centre of the flower.

Supplies
Cardstock - Pretty In Pink, Whisper White
Stamps - Secret Garden, Teeny Tiny Sentiments
Ink - Regal Rose
Designer Series Paper - Brights
Embossing - Honeycomb
Dies - Secret Garden & Bitty Banners Framelits

If you would like to order any Stampin' Up! items, please do contact me as I would love to make you and your letterbox smile! :)

Ok I'm off to get dressed, then off for a nice day out...enjoy your day, whatever you're doing!

Marry Me

Good morning!
I'm off for a week, but how much crafting I'll get done is debatable  as I have Keiran to entertain too! But he has allowed me half an hour in my craft room while he's playing in his bedroom, so I have made the most of it!

Here is what I have made...

Wedding season is approaching so I need to stock up! I have used Marry Me and stamped it in basic black.

I then used my Simply Scored tool to score around my panel for a little extra interest and finished with a few little gems for obligatory wedding sparkle!

Supplies
Cardstock - Whisper White
Stamp - Marry Me
Ink - Basic Black
Tools - Simply Scored

If you would like me to order any Stampin' Up! products, please do contact me! I also have just 2 places left on my Stampers 6 club which is starting in April, so please let me know if you would like to join...the spaces fill up very quickly!

Challenges

I'm now going to attempt a couple of Golden Anniversary cards for  orders, if Keiran will let me!
Bye for now!

More Beads for Less Is More

Good morning!
I have another card here for the Less Is More Beads challenge. As I have mentioned before, I am using up bits that are on my desk and this is made using a strip of card I had stamped with the Stampin' Around Very Vintage Wheel, but it hadn't quite stamped properly....

So I cut it up and arranged it like this and added beads around it.

The sentiment is from Happiest Birthday Wishes.

Supplies
Stamp - Stampin' Around Very Vintage, Happiest Birthday Wishes
Ink - Cherry Cobbler

If you would like to order any Stapin' Up! Products, or join my team of Demonstrators, please do contact me!

I'm off to church now, then a busy afternoon of deliveries, visiting and dinner at Jen's!
Have a lovely Sunday!

Less Is More - Beads

Good morning LIMettes!
Have you had any snow? It snowed for 20+ hours straight yesterday would you believe?! In fact, it was still snowing when I went to bed ant 11.30! But because it was so windy, it didn't actually start to settle until last night...we still only have a couple of inches! But I received a photo of my Mum and Dad's in Huddersfield, and they've got drifts in their back garden of over 18 inches and it's still snowing!

Anyway, Chrissie and Jen at Less Is More are here, as always on a Saturday morning, to wake us up and get our creative juices going! This morning, the challenge is

BEADS

Now I had to think for a minute what to do...I have tonnes of seed beads from various pound shops, and often use them in the centre of a flower, but I wanted to try something a bit different. I was looking around when I found a punched piece of card on my desk, left over from some playing with butterflies you probably saw earlier this week.

So here is what I decided to try...

The butterflies were punched using the Bitty Butterfly Punch.
I flooded each of the cut outs with Crystal Effects and poured beads into them. A little playing and re-arranging of the beads and it's done!

The sentiment is Teeny Tiny Sentiments, stamped in Not Quite Navy, and the yellow paper is Designer Series Brights (Daffodil Yellow)

Supplies
Cardstock - Whisper White
Designer Series Paper - Brights
Punch - Bitty Butterfly
Stamp - Teeny Tiny Sentiments
Ink - Not Quite Navy
Other - Crystal Effects, Seed beads from stash

If you would like to order any Stampin' Up! items, please do contact me as I love to make crafters happy, and a delivery from Stampin' Up! will definitely do that! :)

Challenges

I'm off to take Keiran skating now...roller skating, not ice skating, though we could probably even get away with skiing!
Have a great Saturday!

I know, 2 posts in as many hours almost!

I am trying to use up a few things that are on my desk, and so here is a card I made using a card blank that had a couple of marks on the front, and a panel of cut out butterflies that I thought didn't look even at first, but I think I was being over critical lol!
