Plum Jam and Pop - Up Zoo Babies!

Hi everyone!
How was your weekend? I have been busy making jam for the first time ever! Either side of me plum trees grow in my neighbours' gardens and they have always encouraged me to help myself to them. Well last year the frost practically killed them off before they started so we didn't have any, but this year they have made up for it! We have had a bumper crop! I think I picked at least 10 kilos of them off one tree alone today, not all for me by the way! So I have made one batch of jam, and I have another to make tomorrow...I plan to sell it at our Macmillan coffee morning at work on Friday!

Anyway, you came to see a card right? Ok well here is one then. It is for my friend to give her nephew later this week.

I have used Woodgrain EF and Pear Pizzazz Chevron Ribbon for the front of the card, along with the cute little Monkey from the Zoo Babies.

When I started making this card I knew I wanted it to be a bit different, and special. Well, the special part of this card is inside...

Don't you just love it?! I stamped each of the characters by colouring them with Stampin' Write Markers before stamping. I then fussy cut each one out, leaving about 1cm on the bottom of each so I could bend it and stand each of them up. I coloured each of the flaps to allow them to blend in with the base.

It is a very simple card really...just fiddly! And incredibly effective!

I'm sure little Ryan will love popping each animal up when he opens this card...lots of fun!

Rainbow Zoo Babies!

Helllooo!
How was Saturday for you? I spent much of it crafting, in between playing games with Keiran, so I actually got quite a lot done, for a change!

Here is one of the cards I made....

As you can see, I have gone a bit crazy with the papers and the colours! I tend to be more CAS these days, but I just really liked the way these 3 papers from the I Am Me Designer Series Papers went together!

The stamps are all from Zoo Babies and I inked them using my Stampin' Write Markers so I could match the colours to the papers. I particularly love the zebra!

Supplies
Stamps - Zoo Babies
Ink - Coastal Cabana, Real Red, Calypso Coral, Basic Gray, Crushed Curry (all Stampin' Write Markers)
Designer Series Paper - I Am Me
Other - Regals Buttons, Pool Party Baker's Twine, Pool Party Satin Ribbon

Don't forget, if you place you order before midnight next Friday 13th September, you can use the hostess code

MAXYUMSP

and I will randomly select one of you to win all the hostess credits that are earned! Visit my store to place your order before it's too late!

Hmmm well....off to church now, then I wonder what today will bring? :) Have a good one!

I dig you!

Hey there!
Ok...the sun's gone :( But it's supposed to be back for our Bank Holiday weekend...yay!

Here is a card I have just made as I really wanted to enter the challenge at Retro Sketches this week.

I'm loving this little guy...love the set actually! This is from Dinoroar...one of my favourite sets! I stamped him in Stazon then coloured him with my Stampin' Write Markers. I then fussy cut him using my brand new Paper Snips...I have to say, I used to be a Poundland scissors girl....well after trying these, not any more! They are super sharp, small and have a very pointy tip which is perfect for fussy cutting.

I have used the speckled effect again, which is another effect I love! This is created using the Spritzer Tool. Woodgrain EF and Linen Thread complete this card.

Supplies
Cardstock - Whisper White
Stamp - Dinoroar
Ink - Various Stampin' Write Markers
Embossing - Woodgrain EF
Other - Spritzer Tool, Paper Snips, Linen Thread

Christening card

Good evening!
I wasn't going to post this until tomorrow but I just notice the challenge at Freshly made sketches runs out shortly! So I had better get it linked up quickly!

I realised whilst on my stall at the weekend that I only have 2 christening/baptism cards left so I decided to make a few today, with my new Crosses of Hope set.

For this first one, I stamped the cross in embossing ink and embossed in white. I like the subtle effect. I embossed the panels either side and added some pink organza ribbon from my stash.

A close up of the cross...

It's tough to get a good photo of white on white embossing, but it's really pretty! I finished with the sentiment and some nailart gems.

Supplies
Cardstock - Whisper White
Stamps - Crosses Of Hope
Ink - Embossing, Pretty In Pink
Embossing Folder - Lacy Brocade

I would love to place an order for you...please contact me and I will be more than happy to help!

Less Is More Colour Challenge

Good Morning!
I'm excited this morning because it's my first market since December...I hope it's a busy one!

But quickly, before I go, I want to share this card I have made for the Less Is More colour challenge this week...

I have used the stunning Secret Garden set (again!) and stamped it with More Mustard, Pretty In Pink and Pink Pirouette markers and used the matching Framelits to cut them out. The embossing was using the free Vine Street EF from the Sale-A-Bration promotion, and then I colour the inside of the folder using Sahara sand and ran the card through the Bigshot again.

The sentiment is Teeny Tiny Sentiments.
I am also entering this into the sketch challenge at CAS(e) This Sketch, which was on my screen when I opened my laptop this morning!

Ok I must dash! Have a lovely day! At least the sun is shining here... :)

Cakes and a card!

Morning!
Well I had quite a busy day yesterday, as predicted, but very productive! Keiran and I made some flapjacks and a fat free, sugar free banana and sultana loaf...

mmmmmmm! I've made them for my guests at my Stampin' Up! workshop on Sunday...they keep well and really improve with keeping :)

Ok, so here is a card I also made, for an order...

I have (again!) used the fabulous Secret Garden Bundle and my Stampin' Write! Markers.

I decided to stick with just line images rather than colouring them this time. I used varying shades of pink, and stamped the leaves in 2 different shades of green.

Supplies
Cardstock - Whisper White
Stamps - Secret Garden
Dies - Secret Garden Framelits
Ink (markers) - Pretty in Pink, Pink Pirouette, Regal Rose, Primrose Petals, Certainly Celery, Pear Pizzazz

Up & Away!

Good morning LIMettes!
After a week off work, I am back to normal now with the mad rushing around to fit in the Less Is More challenge before I go to work!

So imaging my horror when I saw that this week's challenge is

I, again, have nothing Stampin' Up! to fit this challenge! I have ummmmed and ahhhed at getting the Up Up & Away set, but as Jen has it, and I can borrow it if I need to, (doesn't help me now though!), I never have got round to getting it!

So some creative thinking again, and some drawing practice, and here is what I made...

Basically, I drew one balloon I was happy with, cut it out, drew round it twice, cut them out, and coloured them in! I had the challenge over at Fab Friday in my mind for the colours as I was going to make something to fit it last night but didn't get round to it!

The sentiment is from the Itty Bitty Banners set that is free as part of the Sale-A-Bration promotion when you spend over £45!

Products Used
Cardstock - Whisper White
Ink (markers) - Perfect Plum, Wild Wasabi, Baja Breeze
Stamps - Itty Bitty Banners
Dies - Bitty Banners Framelits

Good afternoon!
I've just got back from a busy morning with Keiran....pancake party, dog walking, shopping, and buying him a watch to reward him for getting Star of the Week at school for his time-telling!

I made this little card the other day to go in a package I sent...I hope the recipient has received it, or doesn't come on here lol!

I have used Sale-A-Bration stamps; Bloomin' Marvellous and Pretty Petites, and stamped them in Real Red and Primrose Petals onto Whisper White card.

The sentiment was punched out using the free Petite Curly Label punch from the Sale-A-Bration too.

Kraft & Kreme Butterfly

Good evening!
Here is a card I made a couple of days ago but never got round to blogging!

As you have probably guessed, it is another entry into Less Is More's Kraft & Kreme challenge!

I used the Elegant Butterfly punch to cut out the aperture, then I stamped the butterfly from the Sale-A-Bration Blooming Marvellous set in Crumb Cake.

As you can see, I have left the panel quite raise of the card to give more of a frame to the stamped butterfly.
The sentiment is from a retired stamp - Elegant Thank You, also stamped in Crumb Cake.

Products used on this card
Cardstock - Very Vanilla, Crumb Cake
Ink - Crumb Cake
Stamp - Blooming Marvellous (SAB), Elegant Thank You (retired)
Punch  - Elegant Butterfly

Remembering Mum #1

Good evening!
I have had a lovely afternoon crafting with Jen, and here is one of the cards I have made. The theme was an idea requested by a friend of mine as she struggles to find cards to place on her parent's graves at special times of the year. So this one is for her Mum for Mother's Day...

I coloured the Flowering Flourishes stamp with my Stampin' Write Markers before stamping, giving a very subtle effect, which is just what I was looking for with this card. I mounted the panel onto Wisteria Wonder card. The sentiment is computer generated.

I finished with a few of the tiny butterflies from Embosslits Beautiful Wings.

Supplies used on this card
Cardstock - Whisper White
Inks (Markers) - Certainly Celery, Perfect Plum, Wisteria Wonder
Stamps - Flowering Flourishes
Ribbon - Ruffled Edge Wisteria Wonder

Season's Greetings...Christmas card #2!

Hey there!
Have you just been over on my other blog? Thought I might have seen you there! Welcome to here!
I have another Christmas card to show you tonight....that's #2 for 2013...best get a move on eh?! ;)

This was very simple stamped by colouring in the stamp with my Stampin' Write Markers before stamping...I love doing this! I think it may even be my favourite stamping technique!

I then mounted the image panel onto Island Indigo then Real Red cardstock. Then onto my Whisper White card bas and there it is! Oh and I finished with a little glitter...wouldn't be Christmas without glitter would it now?

I was dubious about the colours when I saw them on the Merry Monday challenge, especially for a Christmas card, but I love them with this stamp...they work so well don't you think?

Challenges

Supplies used;
Cardstock - Whisper White, Island Indigo, Real Read
Stamp - Something For Christmas (retired)
Markers - Island Indigo, Real Red, Pool Party
Glitter from my stash
