A preview of Spring/Summer hearts!

Goooood morning LIMettes!!
Yup I'm up bright and breezy, ready for work, but before I go here is my card for this week's Less Is More challenge which is the dreaded one layer card (though not so dreaded anymore!) And this week's theme is

HEARTS

So here is my card...

I used one of the lovely new upcoming stamp sets which will be available in the Spring/Summer catalogue from 28th January. I stamped it with Strawberry Slush, Bermuda Bay and Pool Party inks. The main heart is heat embossed with Clear Stampin' Emboss. I then scored a line either side of the row of hearts. There is no sentiment as I think the heart speaks for itself!

I am also entering this into the challenge at Freshly Made Sketches.
I hope you have a lovely Saturday...enjoy, whatever you're doing!

My Diary

Hello!
I spent most of yesterday and last night designing and making a card for a commission order. I will blog it later this week, hopefully, but unfortunately I didn't get time to do anything else!

So today, I'm going to show you the diary that I made for myself. I don't know about you but I can't keep track of my life without one and as I made them for my friends I thought I deserved one too!

I used a sentiment from Express Yourself and yes, it is for me! I sometimes need reminding that I am actually amazing, even if only in my own little world! The frame of the sentiment is from Hello Lovely and I punched the panel out with the Decorative Label punch.

The butterflies are from Papillon Potpourri and are punched using the matching Bitty Butterfly punch. I added little bits of ribbon, lace and twine for interest, and part of a die cut from the Lattice Bigz Die.

A quick update on my foot...it was still a bit swollen this morning, and quite bruised, so I decided the gym would not be a good place to go, so I went swimming instead. It made quite a change! I may have to swim more often!

Have a good Wednesday!

A girly owl bookmark!

Hello!
How are you today?
I have a little something different to show you...a little bookmark I made for my work colleague as I recently discovered that she loves owls! Oh and yes, she reads real paper books...I know, cool huh! ;)

I have used the lovely little Owl Builder Punch and I even made eyelashes to make her really girly!

The embossed part is made using the Woodgrain EF, and I mounted it onto Bermuda Bay cardstock. Isn't she cute?

Supplies
Cardstock - Whisper White, Bermuda Bay, Crumb Cake, Silver Glimmer paper
Designer Series Paper - Polka Dot Parade
Embossing - Woodgrain EF
Punch - Owl Builder

Cute Little Tealight holder

Hello all!
Wow! What a wonderful weekend I have had! In case you missed it, I was at the Stampin' Up! European Convention in Manchester, and I met so many fantastic demos, made some great friends, and learnt a lot!

One of the best classes I took was the class on how to use My Digital Studio. I must admit, I am not really a whizz with technology, but I will now be using MDS an awful lot more!

Anyway, one of the highlights of Convention is the swapping that goes on. If you don't know, we each make a number of items, such as small trinkets, cards, etc, and we swap with each other so as to gain inspiration and more ideas. I would like to thank everyone who swapped with me...I got some absolute beauties and a tonne of inspiration!
So I would like to show you what I made for my swaps. Although it would seem that I don't actually have a picture of them, but I do have a video for you to see what I made, and how!

This is what you will need for this project...

4in x 4in piece of card or DSP
Label Love bundle
Bermuda Bay ink
Envelope Punch Board
Bermuda Bay Taffeta Ribbon
Small hole punch

I hope you enjoy the tutorial, and that you find it useful. Oh, and what do you think of my new Youtube header? I created it on MDS!

Goodnight!

A mini notebook

Hello from Manchester!
I am currently at the Stampin' Up! convention, but wanted to show you a little notebook I made for my roomie, Paula.

This was one of the little books I changed the cover on. You can see my original post on how to do that here. I used Pretty Print EF, Morning Post Alphabet and Express Yourself stamps, and Bermuda Bay ink and cardstock, along with some vellum and some gems.

The layout was inspired by the sketch at Retro Sketches this week...

Right, I'm off to see what today has to offer...hope you have a fabby Friday!

Altered shopping list

Hello!
Guess what I have for you today? Yup, another notebook! Well....to be fair, they're not much different to cards really. The fronts of them are very much like cards and that's how I design them, other than the sentiment.

So here is a different style today...

These are very long notepads that I found in a local 'bits 'n bobs' shop...I am going to be buying more, for sure!

I have very simply stamped the zigzag oval from Oh, Hello in Bermuda Bay and the flower from Simply Sketched in Real Red, which I have then fussy cut. I finished with a Bermuda Bay bow and some red gems.

I think these make great shopping lists (thanks for the idea Jen!) don't you? I have even added a magnetic strip to the back so it can be put on the fridge.

Supplies
Cardstock - Whisper White
Stamps - Oh, Hello, Simply Sketched
Ink - Bermuda Bay, Real Red
Ribbon - Bermuda Bay

You can buy the products I have used here from the link to my online shop in my sidebar.

Challenges

What are you up to today? Keiran is back at school, and I'm at work after 3 days off...all back to normal!
Have a great Tuesday! :)

I'm sorry...

I'm not apologising...it is a quick card I made last night in between getting on with some commission work!

I have used the Mosaic Madness set again, stamped in Basic Black and Bermuda Bay.

The sentiment is Teeny Tiny Sentiments and the ribbon is the lush Bermuda Bay Taffeta ribbon from the Seasonal Catalogue.

Products

Sparkly Snowflake

Hello!
Have you had a nice weekend? I won't say the 'M' word...I'll just get on with today's post! ;)

I hope you don't mind, but I have made another 'Tealight Easel card'...I have a feeling I shall be making many of these for my upcoming Christmas markets!

I have used the very lovely Winter Frost designer paper from the new seasonal catalogue. It's so cool and elegant don't you think?

I made a snowflake using the Festive Flurry Framelits and the ever sparkly Silver Glimmer paper...it's so sparkly it sparkles in the pictures! I have had so many orders for this and I can't blame them! Not only is it so sparkly but the glitter just does not come off! So you don't end up with an envelope (instead of a card) full of glitter!

Again, I have used the stunning candles from Asda...they really match the Stampin' Up colours so well!

I finished the card with a little Designer Faceted Button and some Pool Party Baker's Twine as a closure for the little card/box.

If you would like to see how to make a similar card to this, please check out my original easel card here

If you would like to order any of the items used here, please do so by visiting my online store. Don't forget to use this week's Mystery Hostess Code

A quick card...

I have a pretty quick card for you today...my mojo was missing a bit last night so this is the best I can muster! Hopefully I will be feeling more creative today!

2 stamps sets, two colours, quick birthday card! What do you think of the 2 colours together? They are vibrant but I think you could get away with giving this to a guy.

Supplies
Stamps - Morning Post Alphabet, Happiest Birthday Wishes (retired hostess)
Inks - Crushed Curry, Bermuda Bay

Challenges

Did your little ones get through their first day (back) at school yesterday? Keiran was tired when he finished and didn't want to talk about it much at first, but he soon livened up and he seemed to enjoy his day!
Have a lovely Wednesday, and hopefully I will have something special to show you tomorrow... ;)

A Festive Flurry!

Good morning!
Here is another card that I made at Jen's yesterday, and yes, it is another Christmas card!

I have used the brand new Festive Flurry Stamp set with matching Framelits, which are available as a bundle for 15% off the individual price! I heat embossed them in Whisper White, then Iridescent Ice and stacked up the 3 smaller snowflakes. The sentiment is from the set I used on yesterday's card, but I missed off 'Joyful' today. The strip of Designer Paper is from the beautiful new Winter Frost set.

I topped my snowflake with some true bling! These new Frosted Finishes are so sparkly, and yet wonderfully light giving almost no weight to your cards!

If you would like to get your hands on some brand new products from the Autumn/Winter catalogue, there are 2 ways...

1. You could have me send you a lovely glossy catalogue for you to drool over for the next month until 29th August when I can order them for you.

2. You could join up to be a Demonstrator for only £99 and choose £135 worth of the stunning seasonal goodies from the upcoming A/W catalogue NOW!!

Yup that's right! you can order the brand new products now if you sign up to be a Demonstrator, and there is absolutely no commitment or catch! Seriously, once you have purchased your starter kit, you can either be a hobby demonstrator (and just keep buying your own stash with 20% off!), you could decide to make a career out of it and start your own business, or you could take your £135 of stash, use it, use it some more, enjoy it and you don't even need to order anything else! (Unless of course you can't resist!)

If you would like more information please do contact me and I will be more than happy to discuss it all with you!

Challenges

Thanks for stopping by. I hope to be around at least 5 out of the next 7 days...I have a busy week ahead as I am visiting friends alot, but I'm sure I will get some blogging in!

New colours and Designer Series Paper

After work yesterday I came home, hoovered, put my little man to bed, then decided I really should get on with some crafting! I haven't really done much over the last week or so, but I have to say, the little break seems to have done me the world of good as I made this card which I am over the moon happy with!

For this card I decided to showcase some of the stunning new colours and products Stampin' Up! have recently released. Isn't Bermuda Bay just gorgeous?! And the new Smoky Slate is so soft!

I used a sentiment from the Simply Sketched Hostess stamp set, some of the brand new Neutrals Designer Series Paper and the ever lovely Beautiful Wings Embosslits. The upper butterflies are vellum and finished with Silver Glass Glitter and one of the new Candy Dots.

Supplies
Cardstock - Bermuda Bay, Whisper White, Vellum
DSP - Neutrals
Stamp - Simply Sketched
Ink - Basic Black
Dies - Beautiful Wings Embosslits
Other - Silver Glass Glitter, Candy Dots

If you would like to order any of the lovely items I have used, or any other products please do contact me for more information and to find out how to earn your own free Hostess stamp sets!

If you would like a lush glossy copy of the catalogue, again please do contact me!

Challenges

I'm back at work this week, and juggling time with Keiran and crafting, but hopefully I shall still manage to keep up with my cards and blogging! Have a lovely Monday!
