Perfect Swallowtail

Good morning!
I have another card made using up something I found whilst re-organising my craft room...

This gorgeous white and Iridescent Ice embossed butterfly has been sat on my desk for probably 6 months, poor thing! I decided it was time to use it, and I wanted colour, so I used a piece of sponge to gently sweep Perfect Plum over the butterfly. I then gently wiped the excess colour off the embossing to reveal the white. Isn't it pretty?

I stamped the background in Island Indigo using Gorgeous Grunge, but as I needed a softer look I stamped off the ink first. I finished with a sentiment from Express Yourself, stamped in Smoky Slate.

I am entering my card into a couple of challenges...

Do you remember that I got stuck in a lift at Ikea on Friday? Well, I had a phone call yesterday from the manager and he apologised most profusely, then by way of compensation, he is sending me and Jen a £100 gift card each! Now I still won't be getting in their lift any time soon, but I will be spending their money! That's my craft room paid for, thank you very much!

See you soon!

Hello Friend!

Hello!
It's Thursday which means it's time for a new challenge at CAS - Colours and Sketches! This week we have a fabby colour challenge!

And for a treat, I have used all new upcoming products, from both the Sale-a-Bration and the new Seasonal catalogues!

I used the free Decorative Dots embossing folder from the Sale-a-Bration promotion, but I inked it with Perfect Plum before running through my Bigshot. I like the softer look than using coloured card, what do you think?

The sentiment and hearts are from the Peachy Keen stamp set and the film die cut is from the complimenting set of framelits.

I heat embossed both the hearts with Iridescent Ice and Clear Stampin' Emboss powders. I finished with a couple of Candy Dots and a Basic Rhinestone.

I used the sketch at Atlantic Hearts as inspiration.

Predominantly Purple Flowerful Heart

Hello!
Oooh last day of 2013! Was it a good year for you? It really was for me and for the first time in a long time I'm going to be sad to see the end of a year. I had a tough couple of years in 2011 and 2012 and last year was just so great for me! I joined Stampin' Up! in the back end of 2012 and after a year I am even more in love with the products, inspiration and especially the family I have been welcomed into! It has opened up so much for me and I am sure 2014 is going to be even better!

Anyway, back to the reason I blog...my crafting! I made this card as another entry into the Less Is More challenge and this time I am using week 49 - Predominantly Purple.

Now I will admit to some shameless CASEing here! I saw this stunning card and loved everything about it, so I had to have a play.

I love how the combination of Gorgeous Grunge and the elegant Flowerful Heart work so beautifully together! I stamped the heart in Perfect Plum, then using my Stamp-a-majig, I over stamped with Versamark and heat embossed using Clear Stampin' Emboss.

Blossom Party!

Hello!
I managed to make another card last night ready for this morning. It took a while to get going as I think my mojo wandered off for a while but it popped up again when I spotted the current sketch at Retro Sketches.

I used Sizzix Blossom Party Originals die and Happy Day stamp set for this card.

I used Wild Wasabi and Perfect Plum cardstock and Perfect Plum Ink. It's finished with a few bits of bling!

A Purple Wedding

Good evening!
I know I'm later than usual with my post today but I literally have not stopped all day!

I have the card I made for the happy couple at yesterday's wedding...

When I was handed the invitation for Richard and Andrea's wedding it was wrapped with the beautiful purple ribbon you see on the card. I decided to use it as the base for their card and teamed it with Perfect Plum Designer Series Paper. For the embossed panel I used the Lacy Brocade Embossing Folder.

I used the very simple layout from Seems a Little Sketchy for my card as I thought it was nice and elegant.
I finished the card with a few gems and die cut initials.

Supplies
Designer Series Paper - Subtles
Stamp - Marry Me
Ink - Basic Black

If you would like to find out more about the gorgeous Stampin' Up! products, or to order any, please do contact me and I will be happy to help!

Remembering Grandma

Hey there!
How are you?
I have the last card from yesterday's sesh at Jen's...I love crafting there as I seem to get so much done!

I have used a lovely hostess set which is sadly retired now, but I still love using it. I used my Stamp-a-Majig to make sure the stems and flowers were aligned properly.

I cut the image panel out using my Labels Collection Framelits, and then embossed the edge with the smaller die. The sentiment is computer generated.

Products Used
Cardstock - Whisper White, Perfect Plum
Stamps - Retired Hostess set
Inks (Markers) - Perfect Plum, Wild Wasabi, Baja Breeze
Framelits - Labels Collection
