Kinetic The Open Sea!

Hello all!
I want to just say welcome to my newest followers, Sarah and Chana...I hope you find lots of inspiration in here! :)

So here is today's card. I have used a set that I have ummed and ahhhed about buying for a while now, then Jen bought it, so I've borrowed it to have a play!

I have used the great The Open Sea set, and stamped it in Early Espresso and Crumb Cake.

Now, it's a while since I made a 'kinetic' card, (one that has movement), but this set seemed to scream it to me...that and the sketch at Seize the Birthday!

So I cut out between the top and bottom panels and placed the ship onto a moving strip that pulls out to move the ship across the globe and reveal the birthday sentiment! Pretty cool huh?

Supplies
Cardstock - Crumb Cake, Very Vanilla
Stamps - The Open Sea, All Dressed Up (sentiment)
Inks - Crumb Cake, Early Espresso

Challenges

Before I leave, I'd like to share a photo of one of our new additions to the family. We took in two cats needing a new home yesterday, and the male, Rodney, has made himself very at home...

I think he's a bit of a poser as he seems to like my photo studio! Either that or he likes my card too!

Have a lovely Wednesday...I'm off to the gym!

  7. Fantastic card Lizy *claps*
    Yup, pretty cool ;)
Suits perfectly with the seize the birthday sketch, haven't had a play myself yet with that one.
Rodney looks like he's settled in well, any inky paws yet? lol
He looks a little like my old cat Tigger, I found him as a kitten at the back of the block of flats I was living in at the time, nobody claimed him so he stayed with me, and was the most loving and fun cat. He used to play fetch with a piece of rolled up tin foil lol
