Goodbye old catalogue!

Good morning!
Did you have a good day yesterday? Keiran had a fab day! He went to his friend's birthday party and was so pooped he passed out for 2 hours when we got in, bless him! I did too lol! We finished off the day with a curry a 'beer' and 101 Dalmations!

I'm so glad I already had this card made ready to blog today...it saved me from having to make one last night!
This is another card I've made in an attempt to use up some retiring DSP!

The DSP is from the Regals stack and is Night Of Navy. The Washi Tape is some of the BRAND NEW Gingham Garden tape...isn't it gorgeous! I love how it works so well on such a dark background too! :) The fab 'distressed' yellow background to the butterflies was created by colouring an acrylic block with a Daffodil Delight Stampin' Write marker, then stamped it onto the card....didn't know how it would turn out but I rather like it!

I distressed edge of the panel with my distressing tool. The butterflies are the ever popular Papillon Potpourri and I stamped the big one in Melon Mambo onto card, then the Night Of Navy and Daffodil Yellow ones onto vellum...I'm really loving stamping on vellum lately! I finished by paper piercing using the Paper Piercing Essentials Pack for some added interest.

Supplies
Cardstock - Whisper White
Designer Paper - Regals
Stamp - Papillon Potpourri
Ink - Daffodil Delight, Melon Mambo, Night Of Navy
Punch - Elegant Butterfly, Bitty Butterfly
Other - Paper Piercing Essentials Pack, Gingham Garden Washi Tape

Less Is More - Sand

Good morning LIMettes!
How are you? I have had such a busy week this week, with various things going on...I'll be glad to slow down....eventually!

So when I woke up this morning I did my usual thing and grabbed my phone to check out this week's challenge at Less Is More before I got out of bed!

SAND

Hmmmm....I will be honest and say that it didn't really rock my boat! Or did it? ;) Here is what I came up with...

I was going to be obvious and use Sahara Sand ink or card, as that was the first thing that popped into my head, but when I got it out it didn't look all that 'sandy' to me! So I went for a beachy theme and used Crumb Cake card as it looked a bit more realistic. I stamped the the boat in Soft Suede onto vellum.

The other colours are Bashful Blue and Baja Breeze, both retiring this weekend along with the fab Need For Speed stamp set :(

Supplies
Cardstock - Whisper White, Crumb Cake, Baja Breeze, Bashful Blue
Stamps - Need For Speed, Teeny Tiny Sentiments
Ink - Soft Suede

While you're here, I would like to take this opportunity to thank you all for following me over the last few years. As you know, Google Reader is gone after this weekend, and I would hate to see you all disappear, so please can I ask you to start following me on Bloglovin'?

That way I can still keep up with you all too! It's really easy to set up...just sign up for an account, then click 'Import Blogs' and it will transfer all your blogs from Google Reader... simple! :)

I hope you like my card. I have to take Keiran to a birthday party today, plus dog walking and I promised a dvd night too. I hope you have a lovely Saturday! :)

Happy (Fri) Day! :)

Hello hello!
Well...it seems I have another 2 followers to welcome! A big shout out to Susanne and Aisleen...welcome and I hope you find inspiration here...that's what I'm here for! :)

Ok, I have a rather 'Slushy' card for you today, as I promised yesterday, but not slushy in the way you think!
(unless you were thinking Strawberry Slush!)

Hmmmm.....lots of colour here! I really do love this brand new colour and I wanted to have a play with it! It's kind of a 'tweeny' colour... 'tween pink and red.
I stamped my flower from the soon to be available Happy Day set several times before re-inking to create the background, and I used some Basic Black Designer Paper (soon to be retired) and Taffeta Ribbon (also retiring). The swirl is from Flowering Flourishes, stamped in Basic Black and I finished with a fussy cut Flower and a sentiment from Happy Day, and some gems.

Supplies
Cardstock - Whisper White
Stamps - Flowering Flourishes, Happy Day
Ink - Basic Black, Strawberry Slush
Designer Series Paper - Neutrals
Ribbon - Basic Black Taffeta

Acrylic Block Stamping!

Hello my lovely followers, especially my newest, M@ureen and Polly!
I have a lovely card here I made using a technique that I have to credit to Vicky who used it on this card.
Here is my take on that idea, and I just realised that I used the same sketch too lol!

I basically stamped the coloured panel by inking up my acrylic block and stamping onto the card! So simple really! The flowers are from the Secret Garden bundle.

I did also try gently stamping some leaves over the panel, which you can just about make out above. I finished with my sentiment from Teeny Tiny Sentiments.

Supplies
Cardstock - Pool Party, Basic Gray, Whisper White
Stamps - Secret Garden ,Teeny Tiny Sentiments
Ink - Summer Starfuit, Wisteria Wonder, Pool Party
Dies - Secret Garden Framelits

New stamps, punches and colours!

Hi everyone.
Ooooh it's Wednesday...middle of the week. Is that a good thing?? Hmmm well it might be if you're in my Stampers 6 club, as my ladies' packages are due to land today, which always puts a smile on their faces, that I'm sure of! ;)
I always like to make a little card to pop in with their goodies, and here is this month's card.

I have used the soon to be available Artisan Stamp and punch bundle along with the brand new In Colours 2013-2015.

The lovely 'frame' was created using my Simply Scored tool, which makes it so easy to get your score lines in the right place thanks to the clear overlay. The little dots were made by punching our Baked Brown Sugar and Crisp Cantaloupe cardstock using my 2mm circle handheld punch. The panels were stamped in Coastal Cabana, Pistachio Pudding and Strawberry Slush, the latter being stamped off first for a more subtle effect.

Supplies
Cardstock - Whisper White
Stamps - Label Love
Punches - Artisan Label, 2mm circle handheld
Ink - Baked Brown Sugar, Crisp Cantaloupe, Coastal Cabana, Pistachio Pudding, Strawberry Slush

A Flutterby Sketch

Hello!
I made this card really quickly last night...I just seemed to have a spark of inspiration!

I used some of the new In Colours and the new Artisan bundle for this card, teamed with the Woodgrain EF and Scallop Trim Border Punch.

Oh and not forgetting Papillon Potpourri and Petite Pairs! I stamped the butterflies onto vellum for a softer look.
That's about it, other that to say the colours are Baked Brown Sugar, Pistachio Pudding and Crisp Cantaloupe.

I have used The Artisan Love stamp and punch bundle, Strawberry Slush ink, Modern Mosaic EF and my Simply Scored tool. Yes it is that simple! And how did I get the embossed panel? Well, in case you missed it when I did it with the Mosaic punch yesterday, here it is again.

Firstly insert your card as shown below, and punch.

Then turn it round and punch again.

And there you have it, all from a 35mm wide strip of card.

Have a fabby evening...see you tomorrow! :)

Hello!

Good morning!
How are you? Glad it's Monday? After the weather we've had this weekend, I think we need a bright and breezy card to cheer us up!

I have used the awesome new Mosaic Madness stamps and punch to match, soon to be available in the new catalogue, as a bundle too! :)

I also used the Modern Mosaic EF for the background. Isn't the embossing so clean and crisp?
The colours are 2 from the new In Colours; Coastal Cabana and Strawberry Slush. I think you'll see me using these a lot as I love them! The sentiment is from the new Happy Day set. As you can see from the picture above, I cut away the edge of my card blank and added the punched shapes to the edge.

Are you wondering how I made this sentiment banner? Well I used the Mosaic punch! How? Well it's easy really...

Simply insert your card as shown below, and punch.

Then remove and turn the paper round again and punch.

Et voila! One label :)

Supplies
Cardstock - Whisper White
Stamps - Happy Day, Mosaic Madness
Ink - Strawberry Slush, Coastal Cabana
Embossing - Modern Mosaic EF
Punch - Mosaic

Less is More - Happy Birthday Jen and New In Colours Sneak Peek!

Good morning!
Yay it's Saturday...that means only one thing ... It's Less Is More day! And as it's Jen's Birthday (happy birthday Jen!), the challenge is to make a birthday card. So here is my card, for you, my friend Jen, for your birthday!

Knowing Jen as I do, she loves butterflies, Pool Party is her favourite Stampin' Up! colour, and obviously she likes clean and simple. So I have used butterflies, but I have used two of the new 2013-2015 In Colours, one of them similar to Pool Party.

Have you spotted the little butterfly inside the card?
The butterflies are in Cool Cabana and the embossed panel is in the lush brand new Strawberry Slush...aren't they just really yummy colours?! They will be available to order in only 12 days!! Eeeek excited much?!!!

Supplies
Cardstock - Whisper White, Strawberry Slush, Basic Gray
Embossing/Scoring - Elegant Lines EF, Simply Scored
Dies - Precious Butterflies Sizzlits
Stamp - Teeny Tiny Sentiments
Ink - Basic Gray

The theme at Sketch Saturday is also to make Jen a birthday card, and you get to choose any of her past sketches! So I just wanted to show you the one I made for there too...

I would have entered this into the LIM challenge, but although it is CAS, I'm not sure there's enough white space to qualify!

Supplies
Cardstock - Whisper White
Designer Series Paper - In Colour 2011-2013
Stamps - Happy Hour
Tools - Simply Scored

I am also entering my card into a new challenge... ART (A Random Thursday), who have this sketch to follow...

I'm off to work now...hope you're having a good time in Istanbul Jen! ;)
Bye for now all!

Goodbye Twitterpated :(

Good morning :)
Here is a really pretty card I made in an attempt to use up some Designer Papers that are retiring soon...

I have used Twitterpated paper here...such a shame this one is going as it is sooooo pretty!

The doilies are cut out of vellum using Large Delicate Doilies. The Papillon Potpourri butterfly is stamped onto vellum and heat embossed with Iridescent Ice EF. I finished with a few pieces of ribbon.

Supplies
Cardstock - Raspberry Ripple
Designer Series Paper - Twitterpated
Stamps - Petite Pairs, Papillon Potpourri
Ink - Basic Gray, Versamark
Embossing - Iridescent Ice EF
Punches and Dies - Elegant Butterfly, Large Delicate Doilies

Although it's sad that Twitterpated is retiring, it is still available to but until 31st June AND it is reduced! It is now only £4.98 for 12 sheets of gorgeous 12x12in papers! So please do contact me now to order your pack before it's too late!

Isn't it gorgeous??
in fact, whilst I was making this card I decided to use some of the paper for a more 'everyday' item, just so I don't miss it too much!

Yup...that is my mobile phone with it's new look! Like it? I was inspired to give it ago by one of my fellow Demos, Nicky Bailey.
