Good morning LIMettes!
Well, I couldn't believe it when I saw the theme over at Less Is More this morning...
Why the surprise you ask? Well, over at Sketch Saturday, we also have a hexagon theme, and here is the card that I made for that, which I shall be entering into LIM!
I have used a lovely Daffodil Delight card blank and matted it with some of the lovely Natural Composition Speciality card, which has a lovely shiny embossed look to it. The hexagons are cut from the Hexagon Embossing Folder and then each piece is rubbed with Island Indigo ink and a Sponge Dauber. The butterflies were cut from International Bazaar DSP and the antennae were made using Baker's Twine.
Supplies
Cardstock - Daffodil Delight, Natural Composition Speciality card
Designer Series Paper - International Bazaar
Embossing - Hexagon EF
Punches - Elegant Butterfly, Bitty Butterfly
Other - Baker's Twine

How handy is that and a great card too ! x
ReplyDeleteGorgeous Lizy. Love that embossing folder, I've never cut out the hexagons but it works really well here. Love that Natural Composition Speciality card you've used here. Love the shine.
ReplyDeleteLove the idea of a holiday dog. My daughter asked the other day if we would have her two girls for a few days (more like a week!). So think of poor little me with 4 Labradors. Instead of a morning and teatime walk it'll be x 2. No way I can walk 4 of them together. I'll be worn to a frazzle. Don't suppose I'll lose any weight though!!!
Have a lovely weekend,
Kat xx
Brilliant card Lizy, so like the bakers twine idea, thanks for sharing.
