Six Sided Notebook!

Good morning!
I have my DT project for our new challenge at CAS - Colours and Sketches for you today...

I am starting to make more non card items for my stall as I want to offer a bit more to my customers, so this is an altered notebook. I've used Polka Dot Parade DSP, some Wild Wasabi DSP from the Subtles paper stack, and the Six Sided Sampler Bundle to create this slightly more male style notebook.

Here are the requirements of our challenge for this week...
As it is the 5th week of the month we have a double challenge of a colour and sketch!

So come along and give it a go...we'd love to see what you come up with!

Transformed notebooks

Hello!
I have a few school fairs coming up in the next couple of months so I have decided to branch out a little in items for my stall. Not everyone wants/needs cards, so I feel it's time I offered something else...see what you think of these...

I found these lovely little pads in Wilkinsons and just knew they were ripe for transformation! And the best thing? They only took about half an hour for all 3! So I am now experimenting with bigger ones, which I will show when they are done :)

Supplies
Cardstock - Naturals White, Whisper White
Stamps - Motorcycle (from MDS), Simply Stars, Express Yourself, Summer Silhouettes, Morning Post
Ink - Daffodil Delight, Marina Mist, Old Olive, Raspberry Ripple, Island Indigo
Other - Season of Style Washi, This 'n That Washi

If you would like to purchase any of these products, or anything else for that matter, you can do so using the link in my sidebar.

I hope the storm didn't cause too much damage where you are yesterday. We were lucky to have the winds bypass us in Bolton...just a lot of rain.

Have a lovely Tuesday...see you tomorrow!

Strawberry Slush Birthday for my Mum!

Hello!
First things first, I would like to extend a very warm welcome to my newest follower, Sid. I hope you enjoy my blog!

Did you all have a nice weekend? I was working for most of it, but I still managed to make this card, which is for my Mum's birthday tomorrow. (Don't worry, she doesn't look at my blog!)

I have used my new stamp set, Apothecary Art, which is one of the 25% off sets, now only £18.71 for a two pack stamp set! You can buy it here.

I stamped the image in Smoky Slate then coloured the flowers and leaves with Primrose Petals and Old Olive. I stamped a second image panel and raised it up on the base image. The paper is Strawberry Slush from the In Colour 2013/15 DSP stack. I finished with Strawberry Slush Ruffle Stretch Ribbon and a little bit of bling.

Today is your last chance to get your discounted stamps so don't miss out! You can order yours here

Challenges

I hope the predicted storm doesn't cause any damage where you are. Stay safe. Even better, stay in and craft!

Brum Brum Motorcycle !

Good morning on this damp and murky morning!
This is going to be a super quick post as I have to be at work for 9!

The challenge at Less Is More this week is

STRING or TWINE

so here is my very quick creation...

I used MDS to print the fab Motorcycle, which, by the way, is a huge image, and only £1.50! I simply wrapped Linen Thread around the card, paper pierced, distressed and finished with the sentiment from Itty Bitty Banners.

Ok, got to dash! See you soon!

A very clever card!

Good morning!
It's a really dark and wet morning here today...you can really see autumn is here!

So I think I can feel slightly less guilty about showing you a Christmas card now! ;)
This is one of the other projects we made at the Craft Reward day last Sunday.

We got to have a play with the new Thinlits word dies and made a very clever card indeed!

This is a slider card - pulling one side causes the other side to come out too! It is a really simple mechanism, but so clever and really does give the 'wow' factor!

The easel on the back to hold it up is also very simple to make.

Products used
Cardstock - Night of Navy, Whisper White
Ink - Marina Mist, Night Of Navy, Versamark
Stamps - Festive Flurry, Merry Little Christmas, Sweet Essentials
Punch - Label Bracket Punch
Embossing - Stampin' Emboss Clear and Pewter

Huge thanks to Michelle Last for giving us the reward day, and for this project too!

If you would like to purchase any of the materials used in this project, please click on the link on my sidebar.

Right, off to work, then the first part of my Christmas shopping! I will be finished by the end of November! ;)

Pretty Poinsettia

It's almost Friday!!
I bet you're glad to hear that?!
It is time for another challenge at CAS - Colours and Sketches. We had some wonderful entries for last week's colour challenge and can't wait to see what you do with this week's sketch!

My card is a commission card that is winging it's way to Mallorca today!

I have used the Joyful Christmas Stamp set; one of my favourites! I mounted my coloured Poinsettia onto some holographic gold card I have in my stash. (I have decided that I really need to start using up some of my old stash!) Stampin' Up! also sell some beautiful Gold card which would also work perfectly on this card :)

The DSP is Season of Style and I embossed the front of the card with the Pretty Print EF.

Here is a photo of the card after personalisation...

I have combined stamping and computer generated sentiments...it's brilliant using the RGB colour codes...it means I can match up the colours with the inks perfectly!

If you would like to order any products, please do click on the link on my sidebar, or contact me using the links in the top tab.

I hope you have a lovely day today...I'm working, sadly, so won't get to play with all my new goodies until much later!

A clever card!

Hello!
Yesterday I told you about my crafty day in Frodsham on Sunday, and today I am going to show you one of the stunning products we made...

This one is using a set I don't have...yet! After using it I think it might find it's way into my collection! It's called Bring On The Cake. This is rather a clever card too...

Pulling the ribbon makes the panel pop up into an easel card...it's so simple to make, yet so effective! I shall make another similar in the near future, and post a tutorial on it :) Thanks so much to Sarah Berry for coming up with this project for us!

If you are looking to add to your stamp collection, now is the perfect time! There is a fantastic promotion on right now where there is 25% off 25 stamps! Click here to find out more!

I had a very proud parent's evening with Keiran today! He is doing so well and is actually excelling in maths! I'm a very, very proud Mummy indeed! :)
He's even started joining me in the craft room...

This is the card he made for his Auntie Kerry's birthday last week.

I think my craft stash is in danger!

I'll be back tomorrow with my DT card for CAS-Colours and Sketches so do come along and have a look!

Some Bright Blossoms!

Good morning all (again!)
So have you seen the very exciting news?? If you haven't, click here and read all about the 25% off 25 stamps promotion!

I have something to show you using one of the stamps that is on offer, and it is also the swap I created for my crafting reward day in Frodsham on Sunday.

I have used the Bright Blossoms stamp set and all this year's In Colours for this card. The embossed frame is created using the Designer Frames embossing folders and the ribbon is Crisp Cantaloupe Ruffle Stretch Ribbon. I finished with the sentiment from the hostess set Express Yourself and some Crystal Effects on the flowers.

Here are all 14 of my swaps, and I got some stunning swaps back! It was a brilliant day crafting with fellow Pinkies Demos and I learnt lots of things, got loads of ideas, and made 3 fantastic projects which I will show you this week.

If you would like to order any of the special 25% off stamps sets, you can do so by clicking on my shop now button on my sidebar, or feel free to contact me and I will place your order for you! You only have 1 week to grab a bargain!!
Bye for now! :)

25% off Stamps and Brand New Dies!!

Good morning (just about!) crafty fans!
How are you? I hope I haven't woken you up, but if I have, that's because I have some VERY exciting Stampin' Up! news!

25% off Stamp Sets!
Yes, you have read that right! As part of their 25th Anniversary celebrations, Stampin' Up! have chosen 25 of their most popular stamp sets and reduced them by 25%! Wood mount and clear mount are both in the offer, where available. This is a really great opportunity to grab those sets that have been on your wishlist for a while...I know there are a few that (were) on mine...they are now ordered and on their way to me! Yup, I'm that quick!!

I suspect this will be a very popular promotion so don't hesitate to place your order before they go on lengthy backorder (or worse, sell out!)

Brand New Dies!!!
Oh yes, there's more!
Today also sees the much anticipated release of the fabulous Thinlits Card Dies!

They are a breeze to use and really make light work of creating flip cards! Again, I suspect these are going to be a very popular addition to shopping baskets all over the place!

You can purchase your stamp set and Thinlits Card Dies here in my online shop, and when you do, you can add yourself to this month's Mystery Hostess and it could be you I'm calling on 1st November to tell you that you have extra hostess credits to spend!

Phew...so much excitement is enough for one day I'm sure!

Have a lovely Tuesday and I hope to here from you soon! :)

A late Less Is More card!

Good morning LIMettes!
It's good to be back with the early morning crafting after missing last week's challenge at Less Is More! I didn't enter the One Layer, Witches, Wizards and Monsters challenge because I couldn't think of anything to make! Yup...you got me Chrissie and Jen! I did keep popping over for a peek though and there were some really fun creations!

I am pleased to be back this week, even if I am a little late...I had a much deserved lie in!
The challenge this week is...

So here is something I have made...I've been playing a little actually.

I first of all sponged inside one of the Labels Collection Framelits with Soft Sky for my background. I then stamped the tree and birds from the Serene Silhouettes set in Early Espresso.

The sentiment is stamped in Pool Party and is from the Hostess set Morning Meadow. I finished by inking the edges of the sentiment and the main image panel before attaching to the card. The layout is from the challenge at CAS(E) this Sketch...

Don't forget that there are only 2 more days to get signed up to Stampin' Up! for £25! It's a fantastic deal and perfect whatever level of Demonstrator you'd like to be! And there is no penalty if you decide not to be a demo after all, so there really is nothing to lose! £26.95 worth of products for only £25, plus a business starter kit...BARAGIN! You can join up or contact me for more information!

Thanks for coming today and I shall see you tomorrow! :)

An embossed get well card

Hello!
I had a little play with a colour combo I have never thought of, thanks to the Colour Throwdown challenge this week :)

I embossed a piece of Pool Party card with my not very often used Houndstooth EF... I really should use this more often!

The flower is from the Flower Shop set, stamped in Night Of Navy, and punched with the Pansy Punch. The Chevron Ribbon is Calypso Coral and the sentiment is from Teeny Tiny Sentiments, stamped in Night Of Navy and cut out using the Word Window Punch. I finished with some silver glass glitter in the middle of the flower for a bit of sparkle.

So what do you think of the colour combo? I think it has a nice, fresh feel to it!

Supplies
Cardstock - Pool Party, Whisper White
Stamps - Flower Shop, Teeny Tiny Sentiments
Punches/Dies - Word Window, Pansy Punch, Circles Collection Framelits
Other - Chevron Ribbon, Silver Glass Glitter

If you would like to buy any of the products I have used today, you get them direct from my online shop, or pleased do feel free to contact me to place your order!

I have work today, then prep for a craft workshop and a fun crafty day this weekend...are you up to anything nice?

CAS - Colours and Sketches challenge DT card

Good morning!
It's Thursday which means it is time for a new challenge at CAS - Colours and Sketches, and this week we have a really yummy colour combo, courtesy of Patricia.

I really love this colour combo and decided to go for a coloured card blank...seems to be something I'm doing a lot recently!

So I used the Rose Red for the card base, and some of the old Pink Pirouette Two Tone ribbon from last year's Spring/Summer catalogue. I have a fair bit left and thought it would be perfect here!

I stamped the frame and sentiment from the Hostess set Morning Meadow in the three colours, lining it all up perfectly using my Stamp-a-Majig. I finished with bling!

If you like this exclusive hostess set and would like to get your hands on it, there are several ways, and it's easier than you think!

1. Purchase your Stampin' Up! items from my online shop, then enter this month's hostess code and if my monthly sales reach more than £150, you could have the chance to win the hostess credits for the month!

2. Join my Stampers 6 club, starting in December, and you are guaranteed to have the hostess benefits once in the 6 month term!

3. Spend at least £150 with me and all the hostess credits are yours!

4. Book a party with me and if the party sales reach at least £150, you earn all the hostess credits!

If you would like any more information, please don't hesitate to contact me!

I hope you have a fun day planned for yourself...I shall mostly be working!

Lots of butterflies!

Morning all!
I have a card that isn't a thank you card for a change!

I have used one of my all time favourite stamp sets, Papillon Potpourri for this card, stamping the butterflies onto vellum, in Pool Party and Midnight Muse. I also used one of the Best Of Butterflies as it goes with the Elegant Butterfly punch too.

The sentiment is from Teeny Tiny Pairs and is also in Midnight Muse. The aperture was cut using the Chalk Talk Framelits. I think it really makes the sentiment stand out, don't you? I have CASEd the idea from Margaret and this card. It is something I have done in the past but sometimes you just need reminding of different techniques, especially when there really are so many out there!

Supplies
Cardstock - Midnight Muse, Pool Party, Whisper White, Vellum
Stamps - Papillon Potpourri, Best Of Butterflies, Teeny Tiny Sentiments
Ink - Midnight Muse, Pool Party
Tools - Simply Scored

If you would like to purchase any of the products I have used here, please do visit my online store where you will also be entered into this month's Mystery Hostess club for your chance to win this month's hostess freebies!

Alternatively, please feel free to contact me with your order, or any queries you may have.

I am also starting a new Stampers 6 club in December, just in time for Christmas! So if you would like to build your Stampin' Up! stash in an affordable way, whilst still getting hostess benefits, then this is for you!

Gift subscriptions to the club are now also available! You can purchase the 6 month membership for only £150, and I will send you a gift voucher and small gift to give to the recipient, and then all they have to do is send me their £25 order each month! And in one month from the six they will play 'hostess' and receive at least £25 of free products of their choosing!
This really is a gift that keeps giving!

Challenges
Right, school run, gym, church, then to take delivery of 5 very special handbags for some very lucky demos! You know who you are! ;)
