Less is More - Happy Birthday Jen and New In Colours Sneak Peek!

Good morning!

Yay it's Saturday...that means only one thing ... It's Less Is More day! And as it's Jen's Birthday (happy birthday Jen!), the challenge is to make a birthday card. So here is my card, for you, my friend Jen, for your birthday!

Knowing Jen as I do, she loves butterflies, Pool Party is her favourite Stampin' Up! colour, and obviously she likes clean and simple. So I have used butterflies, but I have used two of the new 2013-2015 In Colours, one of them similar to Pool Party.

Have you spotted the little butterfly inside the card?

The butterflies are in Cool Cabana and the embossed panel is in the lush brand new Strawberry Slush...aren't they just really yummy colours?! They will be available to order in only 12 days!! Eeeek excited much?!!!

Supplies

Cardstock - Whisper White, Strawberry Slush, Basic Gray

Embossing/Scoring - Elegant Lines EF, Simply Scored

Dies - Precious Butterflies Sizzlits

Stamp - Teeny Tiny Sentiments

Ink - Basic Gray

The theme at Sketch Saturday is also to make Jen a birthday card, and you get to choose any of her past sketches! So I just wanted to show you the one I made for there too...

I would have entered this into the LIM challenge, but although it is CAS, I'm not sure there's enough white space to qualify!

Supplies

Cardstock - Whisper White

Designer Series Paper - In Colour 2011-2013

Stamps - Happy Hour

Tools - Simply Scored

Bye for now all!

Precious Butterflies

Good evening!

It occurred to me that I hadn't yet entered the challenge at Colour Throwdown this week, so I have (not so) quickly made a card to fit it...

I have used Precious Butterflies (an old hostess set) for my card. I stamped it in Calypso Coral onto a square piece of Whisper White card, then cut it into 4 and mounted the pieces onto a piece of Pool Party card that I had already border cut using Adorning Accents Edgelits. I used Vine Street Embossing Folder from Sale-A-Bration for the Crumb Cake piece.

I finished with a Tempting Turquoise button and some Linen Thread.

Supplies

Cardstock - Whisper White, Pool Party, So Saffron

Stamps - Precious Butterflies, Teeny Tiny Sentiments

Ink (markers) - Calypso Coral (In Colours 2011-2013), Crumb Cake

Other - Vine Street Embossing Folder (SAB), Brights Buttons, Linen Thread

If you would like to grab these gorgeous In Colours, they finish in June this year, so be quick! You could order them now, and make the most of the Sale-A-Bration too and bag yourself the Vine Street EF (or any other SAB item!) when you spend over £45....bargain!!

Please contact me to place your order before your chance is gone!

Happy Mother's Day to all the Mums in the UK!

I had a fab day yesterday...I took Keiran roller skating, my new washer was delivered, and Keiran and I started making his Easter egg for the school competition. Oh and I managed to make a few cards too! We're off to Knowsley Safari Park today, after church. I have to do a reading for the first time....I'm a bit nervous to be honest lol!

Anyway, here is one of the cards I made, which I will be sending to my best friend for her birthday on Tuesday.

I have used some of the gorgeous paper from the Print Poetry papers from the Spring/Summer catalogue.

The sentiment is from the Precious Butterflies set from the last hostess sets...love it!

Cardstock - Whisper White, Primrose Petals, Summer Starfruit

Stamps - Precious Butterflies

Inks - Raspberry Ripple, Primrose Petals

Designer Series Paper - Print Poetry

Embossing - Honeycomb

Remembering Mum #2

Good evening!

Here is another card I made yesterday at Jen's...another Remembrance card.

For this one, I used the Lacy Brocade EF ad butterflies from the Precious Butterflies Hostess stamp set.

Again, the sentiment is computer generated. Actually, I printed it in the wrong place for my first card so I made another card with it!

Supplies used on this card

Embossing Folder - Lacy Brocade

Ink (Markers) - Crumb Cake, Perfect Plum, Raspberry Ripple

Stamps - Precious Butterflies
