A Joyful Poinsettia

Hello!
How are you on this cold and frost morning? Well it is here, but it's a beautiful one!

I had a very productive evening yesterday making some cards for my family and some little gifts for my friends. Here is the card I made for my Mum and Dad for Christmas. (Don't worry, they won't see as they don't read my blog!)

I absolutely love the Poinsettia from the Joyful Christmas set, and I know my Mum loves Poinsettias too so I thought this would be perfect for their card. I stamped it twice in Gold Encore ink and then embossed it in Gold EP before cutting it out.

I then curled the petals for dimension and added Champagne Glass Glitter to the middle. The embossed panel is made using the Pretty Print EF and I used the Lattice Bigz Die behind the flower.

I haven't used Stampin' Up! card as I have a lot of card lying around from before I was a Demo and I need to use it, so please forgive me! You can, of course, re-create this card using card from Stampin' Up!, which you can buy, along with all the other products used in this project, from my online shop here or by clicking on the product pictures below.

A mini notebook

Hello from Manchester!
I am currently at the Stampin' Up! convention, but wanted to show you a little notebook I made for my roomie, Paula.

This was one of the little books I changed the cover on. You can see my original post on how to do that here. I used Pretty Print EF, Morning Post Alphabet and Express Yourself stamps, and Bermuda Bay ink and cardstock, along with some vellum and some gems.

The layout was inspired by the sketch at Retro Sketches this week...

If you would like to buy any of the products I have used here, or in any of my projects, please do click through to my online shop using the link on my sidebar.

I am starting a new Stampers 6 club in January, just in time for the new Sale-a-Bration promotion, where you will receive free products for every £45 spend! If you would like to know more about Stampers 6, you can read about it hereor feel free to contact me with any queries.

Right, I'm off to see what today has to offer...hope you have a fabby Friday!

Shabby Chic shopping!

Hello all!
It is my turn to host this month's challenges at CAS - Colours and Sketches, and this week our first challenge is a colour challenge.

I was inspired by my chest of drawers that I rescued and gave a bit of love to!

These colours really make me think of shabby chic so that is what I went for in my project...

I used an old doily from my stash and rubbed it with some Soft Suede. The Soft Sky Core'dinations cardstock was embossed with Pretty Print EF and rubbed with Soft Suede.

I used a matt of Designer Paper from the Neutrals stack and finished with some Soft Sky seam binding.

Supplies
Cardstock - Very Vanilla, Core'dinations
Designer Paper - Neutrals
Embossing - Pretty Print
Ribbon - Sof Sky seam binding

You can buy all these products from my online store by clicking on the link in my sidebar.

I hope you have a lovely day!

Pretty Poinsettia

It's almost Friday!!
I bet you're glad to hear that?!
It is time for another challenge at CAS - Colours and Sketches. We had some wonderful entries for last week's colour challenge and can't wait to see what you do with this week's sketch!

My card is a commission card that is winging it's way to Mallorca today!

I have used the Joyful Christmas Stamp set; one of my favourites! I mounted my coloured Poinsettia onto some holographic gold card I have in my stash. (I have decided that I really need to start using up some of my old stash!) Stampin' Up! also sell some beautiful Gold card which would also work perfectly on this card :)

The DSP is Season of Style and I embossed the front of the card with the Pretty Print EF.

Here is a photo of the card after personalisation...

I have combined stamping and computer generated sentiments...it's brilliant using the RGB colour codes...it means I can match up the colours with the inks perfectly!

If you would like to order any products, please do click on the link on my sidebar, or contact me using the links in the top tab.

I hope you have a lovely day today...I'm working, sadly, so won't get to play with all my new goodies until much later!

WOW Christmas for Less Is More

Good morning LIMettes!
Well, I am now back to my early Saturday morning crafting after a fab 2 weeks being guest designer at Less Is More. I really tried to get around to everyone to comment, but there were just so many entries! I really don't know how Chrissie and Jen do it! So if I didn't get round to you, I really am sorry!

So this week the challenge is

So here is what I made...

Now, to be honest, the vellum Poinsettia was sat on my desk after I saw a card made with one a week or so ago, (and fell in love!) and I hadn't got round to making anything with it!

I simply embossed a panel of card with Pretty Print and added Liquid Pearls to the centre of the flower. I haven't added a sentiment as I felt it would take something away from the pure white crispness of the card.

Supplies
Stamp - Joyful Christmas
Embossing - Pretty Print, Iridescent Ice EP
Other - Vellum

A card and some cupcakes!

Oh my gosh! I cannot tell you how busy I have been this week! All good, of course, but I shall be glad to get a little break after the weekend! Not that I'm having any time off, but things look a little quieter next week (for now!)

So here is one of the (very) last minute commissions I was asked to make. I got an email Wednesday morning about this card, and it went in the post Thursday morning!

The lady who ordered the card for her husband sent me this quote to work around, so I thought it would look nice in a frame. I created the layout of the sentiment in MDS and printed it in Basic Black. I then cut it out with one of the Hearts Collection Framelits, and then I cut a frame using 2 framelits, off setting them slightly.

The background is embossed with Pretty Print (who says it's just for Christmas?!) and the DSP is the downloadable for MDS Wild Wasabi. I finished with a button made using Simply Pressed Clay and one of the useful moulds. I do love these handmade buttons...they are so light so don't add weight to your card - handy when posting!

Colour Q - #208 (I have CASEd this gorgeous card by Silke)

We have our coffee morning at work for Macmillan today so last night I was baking like crazy for it! Here are my treats...

This is one of my Sticky Toffee cupcakes, with Salted Caramel buttercream topping...they really are sooooo yummy!

I found the recipe here. I've actually made about 30 of them!

These are my very easy, and very scrummy Blueberry Muffins.

This recipe was here.

I forgot how much I enjoyed baking...I think I may be doing it more often! Oooops...there goes the diet! ;)

Have a lovely Friday!

Pinkies Seasonal Catalogue Bloghop!

Thank you for joining us on another Pinkies Blog Hop! We're showcasing lots of gorgeous projects using products from the new Stampin' Up!® Autumn/Winter Seasonal Catalogue. Simply use the buttons at the end of each post to keep hopping!

We love comments, so please do tell us what you think!

If you have arrived from the lovely Clare's blog, then a huge welcome to you!

I have lots of the gorgeous new stamps, but I have chosen to show you this one today because I feel like I haven't seen it around blogland much and I think it needs showing off!

The stamp is the very lovely Santa's List, and I have coloured him with my Stampin' Write Markers and framed him with one of the lovely snowflake dies from the Festive Flurry Framelits.

I also used 2 of the gorgeous new Embossing Folders; Stylish Stripes and Pretty Print. The distressing was created using my distressing tool, Sponge Daubers and Crumb Cake ink. The ribbon is Cherry Cobbler Seam Binding.

Supplies
Cardstock - Whisper White, Silver Glimmer Paper
Stamp - Santa's List
Ink - Black Stazon, Real Red, Cherry Cobbler, Crumb Cake, Blushing Bride
Embossing Folders - Stylish Stripes, Pretty Print
Ribbon - Cherry Cobbler Seam Binding
Dies - Festive Flurry, Circles Collection

I had intended to use some of the stunning new Designer Papers but I felt my card worked better without. I'm sure you will see lots of them from my fellow Pinkies throughout the blog hop though!

Speaking of which, it's time to move on to the very creative Kim's blog to see what she has created...you'll love it!

Heartfelt Sympathy

Hello!! How are you all, my lovely followers? I am hopefully back in the world of blog after a lovely few days break. I took Keiran camping last weekend, then we went to Bolton's Food Festival on Monday, and today we have walked for miles and finished off with a lovely Indian meal, slightly spoiled by the entire lot of drivers from our local cab firm having a row in the very beautiful restaurant! Still, we got our meal free! ;)

So once Keiran went to bed, I decided to fit in some much needed crafting, and came up with this...

I have used the gorgeous Hostess only set, Simply Sketched and stamped it in Calypso Coral, then filled with Crisp Cantaloupe.

The embossed panel is created using the new Pretty Print EF from the upcoming Seasonal catalogue (available to order from as of 29th August...not long now!) I gently coloured the edges with Crisp Cantaloupe using a Sponge Dauber, as I also did on the main panel. I finished with a butterfly from Papillon Potpourri.

Supplies
Cardstock - Whisper White, Calypso Coral
Stamp - Simply Sketched
Ink - Calypso Coral, Crisp Cantaloupe
Embossing - Pretty Print EF
Punch - Bitty Butterfly
Other - Sponge Dauber, Stamp-a-ma-jig

If you would like to get your hands on any of the Hostess sets, or any of the new upcoming products, please do contact me for details of how!

Challenges

Thanks so much for bearing with me recently. I hope I will be a little more on the ball again now!
