The sentiment was computer printed and cut out using a Framelit from the Apothecary Accents set.

C6 Box Envelope for UK sized cards!

Good morning!
Did you see my midnight post? If you did, you'll know all about the brilliant new Envelope Punch board. I promised to show you a fab project using this wonderfully versatile tool, and here it is.

This box envelope is the perfect size for UK standard C6 envelopes and cards.

I made these 4 cards to fit in mine, with 4 envelopes, but I reckon it would take 6, depending how much embellishment you put on them.

I have kept them quite simple and along the same theme, but they are very classy and elegant I think.

Supplies
Cardstock - Pool Party, Whisper White
Designer Paper - Winter Frost, Silver Glimmer Paper
Stamps - More Merry Messages, Warmth & Wonder (hostess)
Ink - Encore Silver, Pool Party, Smoky Slate, Versamark
Embossing - Pool Party Stampin' Emboss
Ribbon - Silver Ribbon
Framelits - Ovals Collection, Labels Collection, Apothecary Accents
Other - Dazzling Details Silver Sparkle
Tools - Envelope Punch Board, Simply Scored, Heat Tool

I have made my first video tutorial for this great little box...
I hope you find it useful...let me know what you think!

Have a lovely Friday!

Strawberry Slush Birthday for my Mum!

Hello!
First things first, I would like to extend a very warm welcome to my newest follower, Sid. I hope you enjoy my blog!

Did you all have a nice weekend? I was working for most of it, but I still managed to make this card, which is for my Mum's birthday tomorrow. (Don't worry, she doesn't look at my blog!)

I have used my new stamp set, Apothecary Art, which is one of the 25% off sets, now only £18.71 for a two pack stamp set! You can buy it here.

I stamped the image in Smoky Slate then coloured the flowers and leaves with Primrose Petals and Old Olive. I stamped a second image panel and raised it up on the base image. The paper is Strawberry Slush from the In Colour 2013/15 DSP stack. I finished with Strawberry Slush Ruffle Stretch Ribbon and a little bit of bling.

Today is your last chance to get your discounted stamps so don't miss out! You can order yours here

I hope the predicted storm doesn't cause any damage where you are. Stay safe. Even better, stay in and craft!

Marry Me...In Spain!

Here is another commissioned wedding card that has been winging it's way to very sunny Barcelona for a couple who got married on Saturday...I think it is now safe to post a picture!

I have used my favourite wedding stamp set, Marry Me...I wish it hadn't retired! I also used some of the retired Designer Series paper too and the Elegant Lines EF...Why do good things have to go?!

I did use some current products too though! Adorning Accents Border EF and the sentiment is cut using one of the Framelits from the Apothecary Accents collection.

As usual, I made a personalised box for the card too...it's a nice finishing touch :)

Marry me!

Hello!
Here is another one of the commission cards I've been working on...

This is almost entirely made from retired SU! products....I bet you have some that need using up too? The only current item is the Apothecary Accent Framelit I used to cut the sentiment!

A short and sweet post from me today...I hope to be somewhat back to normal next week!

A Pretty Thank You

Good morning :)
I have a card I made relatively quickly last night, after I had posted my Hap-Bee Birthday card. It seems I had a stroke of creative genius lol!

I have used the Oh Hello stamp set from the Spring/Summer catalogue. The card blank is River Rock and I stamped the oval onto it before cutting an oval aperture out of Whisper White using the matching Ovals Collection Framelits.

The sentiment is stamped onto vellum and cut out using a die from Apothecary Accents Framelits, and I attached it using Crystal Accents, just under where the gems are. I finished with more gems, which were actually added to cover up one tiny little ink smudge!

Supplies
Cardstock - Whisper White, River Rock
Stamps - Oh Hello
Ink - River Rock, Regal Rose, Elegant Eggplant, Crumb Cake
Framelits - Apothecary Accents, Ovals Collection

Retiring Butterflies

Good morning!
Are you enjoying the bank holiday and the extra day off work? I am!
I do have a card for you that I made Saturday night to fit in with the Less Is More colour challenge this week...

If you remember from my post on Saturday, the challenge is to use two opposite colours on the colour wheel...

For this one I have used Yellow-Green and Violet-Red (Old Olive & Rich Razzleberry)

I really love this buttefly set, in particular this traditional looking butterfly, from the Papillon Potpourri stamps...so elegant!

I was inspired somewhat by Rebecca's card here. I had already chosen my colours, stamps and paper, but was going in a totally different way with my layout until I saw her card...isn't it gorgeous??

Supplies
Cardstock - Whisper White
Stamps - Papillon Potpourri, Teeny Tiny Sentiments
Ink - Old Olive, Rich Razzleberry
Designer Series Paper - Brights
Punches - Elegant Butterfly, Bitty Butterfly
Die - Apothecary Accents

The Book Card!

Good morning!
As promised, I'm here with the book card I made for my friend's Mum's 60th Birthday last week...

I have a template for this card that I made in Word ages ago, and I just alter it as needed for the correct occasion. I have used Certainly Celery and Wild Wasabi Designer Series papers stuck onto plain white card. I distressed the edges using Always Artichoke for a shaded affect.

The inside is filled with photos of the recipient and her family, and a verse chosen by my friend. I also distressed the edges of the photos to give them an aged look.

I finished with flowers from Secret Garden and Butterflies from Papillon Pot Pourri, stamped in pinks and purples. The book is held together with Very Vanilla seam binding.

I made a box to match and wrapped it with matching seam binding and a tag with 'Mum' printed from the pc.

I think the card has the looks of a spring garden, don't you?

Supplies
Cardstock - Whisper White
Designer Series Paper - Subtles
Stamps - Secret Garden, Papillon Pot Pourri
Ink - Always Artichoke, Elegant Eggplant, Wisteria Wonder, Perfect Plum, Rose Red, Pink Pirouette
Framelits - Secret Garden, Bitty Butterfly, Apothecary Accents
Ribbon - Very Vanilla Seam Binding

There is an incredible offer at the moment where you can get £25 extra of free products when you join, or if you host a party with sales of £250 or more! Please see here, or contact me for more details as I'd love you to be enjoying using the products as much as I do, and this is an unmissable offer!!

Well, I hope you liked the card...I loved making it!
Have a fab Friday!

Ties for the modern man!

Jen and I had a debate yesterday, during our craft session, about whether or not I should use pink on ties, on a card, for a man. I said that men do wear pink ties, she thought it looked girly! I have, however, stamped a pink tie! I like it and Keiran's Dad used to wear pink ties all the time. Hmmm...maybe that's why it didn't work out... lol!

Anyway, here is the (offending) card! ;)

I used my newish Houndstooth and Stripes embossing folders for some texture, and cut the sentiment out using the small Framelit from the Apothecary Accents set for some shape.

Supplies
Cardstock - Crumb Cake, Poppy Parade (retired), Bashful Blue (retiring)
Stamps - Best Dad Ever, Teeny Tiny Sentiments
Inks - Pink Pirouette, Crumb Cake, Poppy Parade, Bashful Blue, Night Of Navy
Framelits - Apothecary Accents
Embossing Folders - Stripes, Houndstooth

If you would like to order any of the products I have used, please do contact me and I would be happy to help. Alternatively, you could join my next Stampers 6 club starting in June...see here for more information, and please feel free to ask any questions!

I'm working again today, so I'm off now, but I hope your Sunday is a nice one, whatever you're doing! :)

Lucky Limeade sparkles

Good morning LIMettes!
I am back to early morning creations after my GDT spot last week, which I was so honoured to accept! The Less is More challenge has really helped my card designing grow...I am no longer afraid of white space and one layer! So thank you to Chrissie, Mandi and Jen for their inspiration!

Ok onto this week's challenge which is a colour challenge and it is

LIME & BLACK

Interesting!
Ok so if you've been following my blog this week, you'll know I've become a bit of a dress designer lol! Well, those gorgeous dresses are still on my mind, and I have a few cut out as I've been playing with different styles, so here is another!

Ok so for this dress I used both the Framelits in the Dress Up set. I ran the top half through the bigshot with one, and the bottom half with the other...very easy really. Then I cut off the straps to create a strapless evening style dress. I then coloured it with my Lucky Limeade marker, mounted it on my die cut stand, added some Lucky Limeade organza and a sentiment from the All Dresses Up stamp set, punched with the Word Window. The embossed  frame is made using one of the Apothecary Accents dies upside down with a silicone mat under the card. I finished with some gems and black organza from my stash.

This picture shows the difference in the Silver Glimmer paper once it's coloured...now I know it works, I shall be using it a lot more!

I'm also entering this into CAS(E) This Sketch #22

Well it's the Grand National today so I'm guessing we'll be busy lol! I don't personally like to watch the race until near the end as I hate seeing horses fall, and I don't gamble, but if you fancied a flutter, I think Seabass is a pretty good bet :)

Anyway, I better get myself to work, so bye for now and hope you have a lovely weekend! :)
