Hello! I have a bright and sunny card for you today, despite the fast that everywhere is very frozen here this morning!

I have used the new upcoming Petite Petals stamp set for this card...it will be available in the new Spring/Summer catalogue from 28th January!

The sentiment is from Oh, Hello stamp set, stamped in Basic Gray and then I pierced the edges for some interest.
I finished with some Real Red Stitched Grosgrain ribbon.

A truly altered notebook

Good morning!
Here is a notebook that I really have altered! I have not just decorated the cover, I have totally changed it!

This particular notepad had a plastic cover on it, which I was just going to decorate by covering with some Kraft card and embellishment. But as I was doing that, I thought I would try going a step further.

After replacing the cover, I used some This 'n That DSP, Chalk Talk Framelits and This 'n That Washi Tape. I embossed the panel with the Houndstooth EF and finished with some Candy Dots.

I am entering this into the challenge at Sunday Stamps this week, where they have this sketch...

Supplies
Designer Paper - This 'n That
Embossing - Houndstooth EF
Stamp - Oh, Hello
Framelits - Chalk Talk
Other - This 'n That Washi Tape, Candy Dots

You can buy all of these products through my online store (click the link in my sidebar).

I will be back either later today or tomorrow to show you how to change the cover on these books quite easily!

I have the school run, the gym and some stained glass to make for church decorations today. Hope you have a fabby Wednesday!

Altered shopping list

Hello!
Guess what I have for you today? Yup, another notebook! Well....to be fair, they're not much different to cards really. The fronts of them are very much like cards and that's how I design them, other than the sentiment.

So here is a different style today...

These are very long notepads that I found in a local 'bits 'n bobs' shop...I am going to be buying more, for sure!

I have very simply stamped the zigzag oval from Oh, Hello in Bermuda Bay and the flower from Simply Sketched in Real Red, which I have then fussy cut. I finished with a Bermuda Bay bow and some red gems.

I think these make great shopping lists (thanks for the idea Jen!) don't you? I have even added a magnetic strip to the back so it can be put on the fridge.

Supplies
Cardstock - Whisper White
Stamps - Oh, Hello, Simply Sketched
Ink - Bermuda Bay, Real Red
Ribbon - Bermuda Bay

You can buy the products I have used here from the link to my online shop in my sidebar.

Yet another Thank You!

I seem to be making a lot of thank you cards lately...must be the time of year!
I didn't get any crafting done yesterday as I decided to get some much needed gardening done...I really hurt today! But I have just had a bit of a browse and found the challenge at Muse and decided to quickly enter it before I head to work!

I've used the fab chevrons from the Oh, Hello stamp set stamped twice in Real Red and Pacific Point.

The sentiment is from the hostess set, Morning Meadow, and is punch out using the Word Window.

Here is the gorgeous Muse card by Marion Vagg...

Supplies
Cardstock - Pacific Point, Whisper White
Stamps - Oh, Hello, Morning Meadow
Ink - Pacific Point, Real Red
Punch - Word Window

Get well soon Shelli!

Morning!
Some of you may have heard that Shelli from Stampin' Up! had a nasty riding accident last week, (you can read the full story and leave get well messages here), and she has got a long road to recovery ahead of her. I also know she is going to have the most Stampin' Up! get well cards sent to one person ever! Maybe it should be entered into the Guinness Book of World Records?!

Anyway, I too have made a card to send to wish her well and here it is...

This is made using all colours from the Subtles colour collection. Papers, ribbons and inks.

I have gone for my first effort at a 'shabby chic' style card...not sure if it passes...what do you think? I sanded the edges of all the paper elements and used Core'dinations cardstock for the butterflies.

I added an Antique Brad as a finishing touch. Overall I think it's certainly a pretty card, if not quite Shabby Chic!

Supplies
Cardstock - Whisper White, Core'dinations
Designer Series Paper - Subtles (Soft Sky)
Stamp - Teeny Tiny Wishes, Oh, Hello
Ink - Pear Pizzazz, Wisteria Wonder
Ribbon - Chevron, Stitched Grosgrain (Blushing Bride)
Dies - Ovals Collection Framelits, Beautiful Wings Embosslits
Other - Antique Brads

If you would like to purchase anything I have used here, or would like to know more about the gorgeous products, please do contact me, I am more than happy to help!

This is made using the sentiment from Oh, Hello and the Framelit from Chalk Talk. The Designer Paper is This 'n That and I finished with some Linen Thread and a couple of Essentials Hardware Clips.

Phew! Now that's done, I'll relax a little and tell you about my second card...

We've had a lovely day today at the new Sealife Centre in Manchester. We did have to queue for about an hour, but it was good when we got inside. In fact, the colours used on my second card really remind me of the coral on display!

Have a good evening :)

Feel Better Soon

Good afternoon! (or is it evening now?)
I know...a very late post for me. As you may remember me saying yesterday, I had a bad stomach upset....well, it has taken a while to shake it, and even now I'm not convinced it's gone as I keep getting cramps. So I didn't craft anything yesterday, hence no blog post this morning.

I am pleased to say that I do have something to show you now though, that I made this afternoon :) I wonder if I surreptitiously made this for me?! ;)

I have used a couple of lovely stamp sets and a sentiment set for my card. I first of all cut the aperture in the top card layer using a Framelit from the Ovals Collection. I then stamped the oval from Oh, Hello in place on the base card using Lucky Limeade.

My lovely little 'kissed' bird was inked up with Tempting Turquoise, then 'kissed' with the same oval stamp as in the aperture before fussy cutting him out. The sentiment is from Express Yourself and cut out using Bitty Banners Framelits. Isn't that ribbon stunning? That is the new Calyso Coral Chevron Ribbon. I have it in all the colours and it really is lush! I think I shall be using it an awful lot!

Supplies
Stamps - Morning Meadow, Express Yourself (both Hostess), Oh, Hello
Ink - Tempting Turquoise, Lucky Limeade
Framelits - Bitty Banners, Ovals Collection
Ribbon - Calypso Coral Chevron

Cheers!

Good morning!
Here is one of the cards I made at the crafty afty(noon) at Jen's yesterday...

This one is made using the fab and fun Happy Hour stamp set. I coloured it using my Stampin' Write markers to blend in the colours before stamping to create a 'cocktail' effect.

I scored a line for a 'shelf' using my Simply Scored tool and used Polka Dot Parade for the background paper.

Supplies
Cardstock - Basic Gray, Whisper White
Designer Series Paper - Polka Dot Parade
Stamps - Happy Hour, Oh, Hello
Ink - Tempting Turquoise, Melon Mambo, Daffodil Delight, Basic Gray
Other - Simply Scored

Just for you...

Morning all! Here is a quick card I have made for the Less is More  one layer on a coloured card blank week...

I say 'quick'...hmmmm well... I tried a number of ideas and didn't really like any of them, so they got scrapped, but this one I really quite liked! I stamped the flower from the Oh Hello set onto my Bashful Blue card blank in Raspberry Ripple and Wild Wasabi and coloured in the 'white' bits with Rose Red and Lucky Limeade.

I then stamped the sentiment, paper pierced the circle, and sponged Whisper White Craft Ink into the circle.

Supplies
Cardtock - Bashful Blue
Stamps - Oh Hello, Teeny Tiny Sentiments
Ink - Raspberry Ripple, Rose Red, Wild Wasabi, Lucky Limeade, Whisper White Craft Pad

A Pretty Thank You

Good morning :)
I have a card I made relatively quickly last night, after I had posted my Hap-Bee Birthday card. It seems I had a stroke of creative genius lol!

I have used the Oh Hello stamp set from the Spring/Summer catalogue. The card blank is River Rock and I stamped the oval onto it before cutting an oval aperture out of Whisper White using the matching Ovals Collection Framelits.

The sentiment is stamped onto vellum and cut out using a die from Apothecary Accents Framelits, and I attached it using Crystal Accents, just under where the gems are. I finished with more gems, which were actually added to cover up one tiny little ink smudge!

Supplies
Cardstock - Whisper White, River Rock
Stamps - Oh Hello
Ink - River Rock, Regal Rose, Elegant Eggplant, Crumb Cake
Framelits - Apothecary Accents, Ovals Collection
