A Summery Birthday

Good morning!
Well it seems I have yet another new follower! A very warm welcome to you Deepti!

As promised, here is the other card I made on Monday night.

I have used my neglected Stippled Blossoms stamp set here. This a wonderful two part set that gives a wonderful shaded effect without all the stress of trying to do clever colouring!

I've also used some new Designer Paper from the Brights stack, the sentiment from Simply Sketched Hostess set and The banner from Hearts a Flutter.

Supplies
Stamps - Stippled Blossoms, Simply Sketched, Hearts a Flutter
Ink - Daffodil Delight, Strawberry Slush
Designer Series Paper - Brights
Dies - Hearts a Flutter

Dad, my hero

Good morning!
Well somehow, I managed to muster up some creativity last night to make this card for a commission...not easy seeing as how tired I was after Saturday night!

I have used a lovely set, fairly new to my collection. This is Serene Silhouettes and I stamped the image in Crumb Cake over the computer generated verse.

I inked the edge of the image panel with Old Olive using my Ink Daubers.

This is the card once I personalised it for the customer, which is slightly off sketch so that's why I posted the original card without the sentiment.

Supplies
Cardstock - Whisper White
Designer Series Paper - Brights,
Stamp - Serene Silhouettes
Ink - Crumb Cake, Old Olive
Embossing - Woodgrain EF

Right...off to work now, then the gym, then hopefully I will get some more of my commission order finished!

Retiring Butterflies

Good morning!
Are you enjoying the bank holiday and the extra day off work? I am!
I do have a card for you that I made Saturday night to fit in with the Less Is More colour challenge this week...

If you remember from my post on Saturday, the challenge is to use two opposite colours on the colour wheel...

For this one I have used Yellow-Green and Violet-Red (Old Olive & Rich Razzleberry)

I really love this buttefly set, in particular this traditional looking butterfly, from the Papillon Potpourri stamps...so elegant!

I was inspired somewhat by Rebecca's card here. I had already chosen my colours, stamps and paper, but was going in a totally different way with my layout until I saw her card...isn't it gorgeous??

Supplies
Cardstock - Whisper White
Stamps - Papillon Potpourri, Teeny Tiny Sentiments
Ink - Old Olive, Rich Razzleberry
Designer Series Paper - Brights

Need For Speed!

Good morning!
Here is another card I made at Jen's on Saturday...can you see a theme yet? Yup! Men! I needed some male cards so I have made quite a few!

I embossed my Night of Navy card panel with the Argyle EF, and then trimmed the edge for some shape. It was supposed to be the other way round but I didn't notice til the whole card was stuck down lol! I stamped the car in Rich Razzleberry and fussy cut it out, mounting it on Stampin' Dimensionals.

Get Well Wishes

Good morning!
I really wanted to post a card on Tuesday evening, that I made for an order, but the challenge had closed by the time I had, due to having a bit of a horrible afternoon! I went to the doctors as I have been in a lot of pain with my stomach for a few days, got a prescription, put the meds in the boot, then managed to crack Keiran on the head with the corner of the boot :'( So a trip to A&E so they could glue him back together, and by the time we got home, it was too late for anything! I am very pleased to report that Keiran has had no ill effects from his trauma and my stomach is starting to feel much better!

So before I treat him to a day out at Legoland Discovery, I am going to post a different card that I managed to put together last night...

I have used the Secret Garden Bundle here to make my flower, stamping it in Regal Rose onto Pretty In Pink card.

The sentiment is from Teeny Tiny Sentiments - I think I surreptitiously made a get well card for the both of us lol! I finished with a few beads for the centre of the flower.

Supplies
Cardstock - Pretty In Pink, Whisper White
Stamps - Secret Garden, Teeny Tiny Sentiments
Ink - Regal Rose
Designer Series Paper - Brights
Embossing - Honeycomb
Dies - Secret Garden & Bitty Banners Framelits

If you would like to order any Stampin' Up! items, please do contact me as I would love to make you and your letterbox smile! :)

Ok I'm off to get dressed, then off for a nice day out...enjoy your day, whatever you're doing!

Less Is More - Beads

Good morning LIMettes!
Have you had any snow? It snowed for 20+ hours straight yesterday would you believe?! In fact, it was still snowing when I went to bed ant 11.30! But because it was so windy, it didn't actually start to settle until last night...we still only have a couple of inches! But I received a photo of my Mum and Dad's in Huddersfield, and they've got drifts in their back garden of over 18 inches and it's still snowing!

Anyway, Chrissie and Jen at Less Is More are here, as always on a Saturday morning, to wake us up and get our creative juices going! This morning, the challenge is

BEADS

Now I had to think for a minute what to do...I have tonnes of seed beads from various pound shops, and often use them in the centre of a flower, but I wanted to try something a bit different. I was looking around when I found a punched piece of card on my desk, left over from some playing with butterflies you probably saw earlier this week.

So here is what I decided to try...

The butterflies were punched using the Bitty Butterfly Punch.
I flooded each of the cut outs with Crystal Effects and poured beads into them. A little playing and re-arranging of the beads and it's done!

The sentiment is Teeny Tiny Sentiments, stamped in Not Quite Navy, and the yellow paper is Designer Series Brights (Daffodil Yellow)

Supplies
Cardstock - Whisper White
Designer Series Paper - Brights
Punch - Bitty Butterfly
Stamp - Teeny Tiny Sentiments
Ink - Not Quite Navy
Other - Crystal Effects, Seed beads from stash

Hello again!
I know, 2 posts in as many hours almost!

I am trying to use up a few things that are on my desk, and so here is a card I made using a card blank that had a couple of marks on the front, and a panel of cut out butterflies that I thought didn't look even at first, but I think I was being over critical lol!
