Last Minute Masks

Hello! It's almost the weekend...yay!
Are you going to any parties this weekend? Maybe a masquerade party? No? Oh well neither am I but I do have a card I was commissioned to make for someone who did have a masquerade ball for her 30th birthday last week!

I found these fabby masks, Last Minute Masks, on the My Digital Studio download page. I added them to my blank page, changed the colours, printed and there you go! I stamped and heat embossed the black one with Flowering Flourishes to give a lovely pattern and added some gems and feathers.

I sprayed the pink one with Silver Glimmer Spray and added lots of nail art gems from my stash and a feather.

I used Silver Glimmer Paper and some retired DSP for the background. The sticks for the masks are cocktail sticks wrapped with ribbon.

This card was one of those that I knew exactly what I was going to do as soon as I was asked and I thoroughly enjoyed making it!

Thanks for visiting!

A bit of MDS!

Hello!
First of all, I would like to welcome my newest follower, Lorraine! I hope you get lots of inspiration from my blog Lorraine :)

I also must say Happy Thanksgiving to my readers and followers from the US...I hope you have a lovely holiday!

Ok, as it's Thursday, it's time for a new challenge at CAS - Colours and Sketches, and it is also my final week as host for November. This week it's a sketch and here it is...

So my card was one of 'them'! By that, I mean it just kind of put itself together! Don't you love it when that happens?

I used a print out of a Motorcycle stamp from MDS...I am finally starting to love it!

The paper is from Sweater Weather, a great set of papers perfect for men, and the sentiment is from Express Yourself. I used Burlap Trim for a reall 'manly' feel.

If you would like to buy any of the products I have used here, or in any of my projects, please do click through to my online shop using the link on my sidebar.

I am starting a new Stampers 6 club in January, just in time for the new Sale-a-Bration promotion, where you will receive free products for every £45 spend! If you would like to know more about Stampers 6, you can read about it hereor feel free to contact me with any queries.

We're looking forward to seeing your creations, after your Thanksgiving celebrations of course!
Enjoy!

Cute Little Tealight holder

Hello all!
Wow! What a wonderful weekend I have had! In case you missed it, I was at the Stampin' Up! European Convention in Manchester, and I met so many fantastic demos, made some great friends, and learnt a lot!

One of the best classes I took was the class on how to use My Digital Studio. I must admit, I am not really a whizz with technology, but I will now be using MDS an awful lot more!

Anyway, one of the highlights of Convention is the swapping that goes on. If you don't know, we each make a number of items, such as small trinkets, cards, etc, and we swap with each other so as to gain inspiration and more ideas. I would like to thank everyone who swapped with me...I got some absolute beauties and a tonne of inspiration!
So I would like to show you what I made for my swaps. Although it would seem that I don't actually have a picture of them, but I do have a video for you to see what I made, and how!

This is what you will need for this project...

4in x 4in piece of card or DSP
Label Love bundle
Bermuda Bay ink
Envelope Punch Board
Bermuda Bay Taffeta Ribbon
Small hole punch

I hope you enjoy the tutorial, and that you find it useful. Oh, and what do you think of my new Youtube header? I created it on MDS!

Goodnight!

Transformed notebooks

Hello!
I have a few school fairs coming up in the next couple of months so I have decided to branch out a little in items for my stall. Not everyone wants/needs cards, so I feel it's time I offered something else...see what you think of these...

I found these lovely little pads in Wilkinsons and just knew they were ripe for transformation! And the best thing? They only took about half an hour for all 3! So I am now experimenting with bigger ones, which I will show when they are done :)

Supplies
Cardstock - Naturals White, Whisper White
Stamps - Motorcycle (from MDS), Simply Stars, Express Yourself, Summer Silhouettes, Morning Post
Ink - Daffodil Delight, Marina Mist, Old Olive, Raspberry Ripple, Island Indigo
Other - Season of Style Washi, This 'n That Washi

If you would like to purchase any of these products, or anything else for that matter, you can do so using the link in my sidebar.

I hope the storm didn't cause too much damage where you are yesterday. We were lucky to have the winds bypass us in Bolton...just a lot of rain.

Have a lovely Tuesday...see you tomorrow!

Brum Brum Motorcycle !

Good morning on this damp and murky morning!
This is going to be a super quick post as I have to be at work for 9!

The challenge at Less Is More this week is

STRING or TWINE

so here is my very quick creation...

I used MDS to print the fab Motorcycle, which, by the way, is a huge image, and only £1.50! I simply wrapped Linen Thread around the card, paper pierced, distressed and finished with the sentiment from Itty Bitty Banners.

Ok, got to dash! See you soon!

A card and some cupcakes!

Oh my gosh! I cannot tell you how busy I have been this week! All good, of course, but I shall be glad to get a little break after the weekend! Not that I'm having any time off, but things look a little quieter next week (for now!)

So here is one of the (very) last minute commissions I was asked to make. I got an email Wednesday morning about this card, and it went in the post Thursday morning!

The lady who ordered the card for her husband sent me this quote to work around, so I thought it would look nice in a frame. I created the layout of the sentiment in MDS and printed it in Basic Black. I then cut it out with one of the Hearts Collection Framelits, and then I cut a frame using 2 framelits, off setting them slightly.

The background is embossed with Pretty Print (who says it's just for Christmas?!) and the DSP is the downloadable for MDS Wild Wasabi. I finished with a button made using Simply Pressed Clay and one of the useful moulds. I do love these handmade buttons...they are so light so don't add weight to your card - handy when posting!

Colour Q - #208 (I have CASEd this gorgeous card by Silke)

We have our coffee morning at work for Macmillan today so last night I was baking like crazy for it! Here are my treats...

This is one of my Sticky Toffee cupcakes, with Salted Caramel buttercream topping...they really are sooooo yummy!

I found the recipe here. I've actually made about 30 of them!

These are my very easy, and very scrummy Blueberry Muffins.

This recipe was here.

I forgot how much I enjoyed baking...I think I may be doing it more often! Oooops...there goes the diet! ;)

Have a lovely Friday!

A new baby Down Under!

Hiya peeps!
How is your week going? I'm having a busy one, but then I always seem to be busy lately! It's a good thing, honest!

I had a request for a new baby card the other day, with a rather unusual name request...

The card is to be sent to a Great Auntie and Great Uncle in Australia, who sadly will never be grandparents, so they are being Grauntie and Gruntle!

I have used the sadly retired Bundle of Love stamp and stamped it on Very Vanilla, Wisteria Wonder and Pink Pirouette card stock, then paper pieced parts of the pram. I added a little dimension with stitching, liquid pearls and a Basic Gray Candy Dot, and finished with a computer printed sentiment cut out with one of the framelits from the Chalk Talk set. The Basic Gray card was punched with the Scallop Trim Border Punch.

The background papers are available for My Digital Studio, which I am loving! I haven't created a card with it yet, but I am loving the printable elements! It is available with a FREE trial so why not give it a go? It comes with several elements included to get you started, including stamps, sentiments, papers and embellishments.

Oh Baby!

Hello!
I went to my friend Nikki's surprise baby shower last night, which meant I needed a card for her, so here is what I made...

I have used the great Oh Baby single stamp for this and some of the old designer papers, now available on MDS! I stitched a bit, added a Simply Pressed Clay Button and a couple of pearls and then I was done!

Thank you for stopping by today...hopefully I will get chance to make something today to show you tomorrow! :)

A little thank you

Hello!!
Wow...Monday again already?? Oh well...another one out of the way then eh?! ;)

So this morning I wanted to show you a little thank you set I made for a friend...

I was having a play with My Digital Studio last night, and I had a browse through the available downloads on my Online Shop and I discovered something that really made me smile! As you know, I totally loved last year's colour collections designer papers and was really sad when they retired. Well guess what?? You can buy them as a download for MDS! Yay!! You can even buy them in each colour, rather than having to buy the whole colour collection,  and they are only £1.50 each meaning I can just top up one of the colours I have almost used up!

So I used some of the Wisteria Wonder paper for this set, and layered it onto a Naturals White card base. I also stamped the image from Morning Meadow onto a piece of Naturals.

The flower on the box is also from Morning meadow, stamped in Perfect Plum onto Wisteria Wonder cardstock and punched using the Pansy Punch.

The little box has a little gift inside...

Yup! A candle! Isn't it cute?

This is another Demo's design, and by request, I cannot share the full details, sorry. But I really love these little boxes...I may have to make more of them!

If you would like to download My Digital Studio, please visit my Online Shop...it is available for only £13.95 and you get plenty of papers, stamps, embellishments etc to get you started, then you can start to download all the papers, extra stamps...whatever you need/want/can't do without! ;)

And don't forget to add this month's Hostess Code for your chance to win the hostess credits!
