Hap-bee Birthday!

Good evening!
I hope you are well? I appear to be coming down with a horrid chesty cough...hope it doesn't get any worse...

Anyway, I have just made a card that I was going to blog tomorrow, but one of the challenges I want to enter it into finishes in a little over an hour, so I'm blogging it now!

I haven't stamped an image! Shock horror! I have, for the first time, tried my hand at punch art! This cute little bee was created using one of the small baubles from the Holiday Ornaments Framelits, the 1/2in circle punch and the I {heart} Hearts punch. The wings are two of the hearts for each side, punch out of vellum, and folded in half. The stripes were cut out of a black punched bauble.

The 'hap-bee' part of the sentiment was hand written and the 'birthday' bit is from Stacks Of Wishes. The zippy swirl is also hand drawn. I finished with some golden gems from my stash.

Supplies
Cardstock - Daffodil Delight, Basic Black, Whisper White
Stamps - Stacks Of Wishes
Ink - Basic Black
Embossing Folder - Honeycomb
Punches & Dies - 1/2in Circle, Holiday Ornaments Framelits, I{heart} Hearts (ret)

It's a Tie!

I bet that's not what the result of the Grand National will be tomorrow lol!

I have a quick card for you this evening that I made because I really wanted to enter the challenge at Retro Sketches this week...I loved the sketch, had an idea, so here it is!

I have used the Best Dad Ever set, and stamped the stripey ties in Basic Black and the spotty one in Basic Gray. The papers are from the Neutrals Designer Paper Stack, and I coloured my Whisper White Baker's Twine with my black ink pad before tying round the card in a double bow. The embossing was done using the Honeycomb EF. Quite a manly and classy card I think...perfect for that office worker!

If you would like to get your hands on this set, please do contact me and I will be happy to order it for you, along with anything else on your wishlist!

Get Well Wishes

Good morning!
I really wanted to post a card on Tuesday evening, that I made for an order, but the challenge had closed by the time I had, due to having a bit of a horrible afternoon! I went to the doctors as I have been in a lot of pain with my stomach for a few days, got a prescription, put the meds in the boot, then managed to crack Keiran on the head with the corner of the boot :'( So a trip to A&E so they could glue him back together, and by the time we got home, it was too late for anything! I am very pleased to report that Keiran has had no ill effects from his trauma and my stomach is starting to feel much better!

So before I treat him to a day out at Legoland Discovery, I am going to post a different card that I managed to put together last night...

I have used the Secret Garden Bundle here to make my flower, stamping it in Regal Rose onto Pretty In Pink card.

The sentiment is from Teeny Tiny Sentiments - I think I surreptitiously made a get well card for the both of us lol! I finished with a few beads for the centre of the flower.

Supplies
Cardstock - Pretty In Pink, Whisper White
Stamps - Secret Garden, Teeny Tiny Sentiments
Ink - Regal Rose
Designer Series Paper - Brights
Embossing - Honeycomb
Dies - Secret Garden & Bitty Banners Framelits

For my friend :)

Happy Mother's Day to all the Mums in the UK!
I had a fab day yesterday...I took Keiran roller skating, my new washer was delivered, and Keiran and I started making his Easter egg for the school competition. Oh and I managed to make a few cards too! We're off to Knowsley Safari Park today, after church. I have to do a reading for the first time....I'm a bit nervous to be honest lol!

Anyway, here is one of the cards I made, which I will be sending to my best friend for her birthday on Tuesday.

Get Well Soon

Good afternoon!
I have a little get well card here that I made a couple of days ago...

I have used Summer Silhouettes stamp set and stamped it using my markers. I stamped the lattice stamp off onto some scrap paper before stamping onto my card as the colour was very dark.

I then triple stamped the little flowers to give a graduating effect. The main flower was coloured on the stamp using Blushing Bride and I then drew in the lines in Chocolate chip before stamping. The border was made using the Needlepoint embossing folder and I cute round the scallops. I finished with baker's twine and a pearl.

Products used
Cardstock - Whisper White
Ink (markers) - Chocolate Chip, Blushing Bride, Old Olive
Stamps - Summer Silhouettes, Teeny Tiny Sentiments
Ebossing Folders - Honeycomb, Needlepoint
Punch - Word Window
Other - Whisper White Baker's Twine, Pearl

Less Is More - Shrunken Butterflies!

Good morning!
Wow we got alot of snow in a very short space of time yesterday! I think this is where my obsession for a lot of white space is coming from just now lol!

This morning over at Less is More, the challenge is a sketch challenge, and here is what I made...

On Thursday night, Jen came round for a little crafting, and we were playing with stamping on Shrink Plastic. I made the gorgeous tiny little butterflies but wasn't sure what to do with them...then I saw this morning's sketch and it all kind of came together really quickly!

The Sketch

close up of the butterflies

I really love these butterflies...they look so dainty! I think I will be doing this a lot in the future! One tip though, these work better if you stamp them using the markers...the pads seem to blur the image when it's shrunk.
Also, because I used water based ink, I found I couldn't use liquid glue so I have used glue dots, which you can kind of see a discolouration on the close up photo, but not in real life!

Cardstock - Whisper White
Stamps - Papillon Pot Pourri, Happiest Birthday Wishes
Ink (markers) - Rich Razzleberry

A Breath of Spring!

Good afternoon!
Sorry I've been a little absent...I just have been busy and a little under the weather again. But I feel much better now, so here is a little card I have just made to show you using some new stash!

I am very excited because the new Spring/Summer catalogue is almost out and nothing makes a crafter feel more excited than new goodies!

So here is the card...

I have used the new Honeycomb embossing folder, from the Spring/Summer catalogue, and the tiny flower stamp is part of a Sale-A-Bration set, free when you spend £45!! How awesome is that?! The larger flower across the centre of the card is from the Ornament Keepsakes stamp set from the Christmas catalogue...it's your last chance to get your hands on this gorgeous set as the catalogue finishes at the end of January.

A closer look...

The sentiment is part of a retired hostess set and I cut it out using Word Window.

Supplies used;
Cardstock - Whisper White, Certainly Celery, So Saffron
Markers - So Saffron, Certainly Celery
Stamps - Madison Avenue (SAB), Happiest Birthday Wishes, Ornament Keepsakes.
Embossing Folder - Honeycomb
