Gorgeous Grunge(y) notebook

Good morning!
I had a stall at a corporate evening in a hotel last night, and sold loads of my notebooks, so I am desperately trying to make some more before tonight's stall! Here is one of them...

I have used Gorgeous Grunge to decorate this one in various muted colours, making it suitable for a man.

I used Morning Post alphabet set, as usual, for the front of the book. I think I need to invest in a different alphabet set!

A mini notebook

Hello from Manchester!
I am currently at the Stampin' Up! convention, but wanted to show you a little notebook I made for my roomie, Paula.

This was one of the little books I changed the cover on. You can see my original post on how to do that here. I used Pretty Print EF, Morning Post Alphabet and Express Yourself stamps, and Bermuda Bay ink and cardstock, along with some vellum and some gems.

The layout was inspired by the sketch at Retro Sketches this week...

It's Sweater Weather!

Hello all!
Wow it's a frosty morning here in Bolton! First of the year...it looks really pretty!

Anyway, I promised to show you the other altered notebook I made on Saturday, so here it is...

For this one I went a bit more 'male' and grungy, using distressing, Twine, Burlap Trim and some Sweater Weather DSP (and today is certainly a sweater weather day!).

The lettering was again stamped using Morning Post, but this time I punched it out using the Hexagon Punch. I finished with a Simply Pressed Clay button. The Burlap Trim is also a bookmark that lifts up and round into the book.

Supplies
Designer Paper - Sweater Weather
Cardstock - Soft Sky
Stamp - Morning Post
Ink - Chocolate Chip
Ribbon - Burlap Trim, Linen Thread
Other - Simply Pressed Clay
Tools - Distressing Tool, Spritzer Tool

If you would like to purchase any of these lovely goodies, please click on the link in my sidebar to take you directly to my online shop.

Challenges

Again, this sold yesterday at church...I am now on the hunt for more notebooks, as I only bought 3! Doh!

Winter Frost is not just for Christmas!

Good afternoon!
As you know, I have been branching out a little with my crafting in an attempt to off more than just cards on my stalls.

Here is another notebook that I have altered, using shop bought books and Stampin' Up! products.

This one is decorated using Winter Frost DSP, proving that it's not just for Christmas!

I also used a spare Papillon Potpourri butterfly that was lying on my desk, along with a word created using Morning Post stamp set.

I finished with some old ribbon and some gems.

Supplies
Cardstock - Pool Party
Designer Paper - Winter Frost
Stamps - Morning Post, Papillon Potpourri
Ink - Soft Sky, Smoky Slate

I have a feeling these books are going to be popular...I took them to church today and sold this one and the one I'm going to show you tomorrow, along with one of my mini ones, plus I got lots of orders for cards too! So....time to get crafting!!
If you would like to buy any of the Stampin' Up! products I have used here, you can do so by clicking through to my online shop using the link in my sidebar.

I will be back with more tomorrow...enjoy the rest of your Sunday!

Transformed notebooks

Hello!
I have a few school fairs coming up in the next couple of months so I have decided to branch out a little in items for my stall. Not everyone wants/needs cards, so I feel it's time I offered something else...see what you think of these...

I found these lovely little pads in Wilkinsons and just knew they were ripe for transformation! And the best thing? They only took about half an hour for all 3! So I am now experimenting with bigger ones, which I will show when they are done :)

Supplies
Cardstock - Naturals White, Whisper White
Stamps - Motorcycle (from MDS), Simply Stars, Express Yourself, Summer Silhouettes, Morning Post
Ink - Daffodil Delight, Marina Mist, Old Olive, Raspberry Ripple, Island Indigo
Other - Season of Style Washi, This 'n That Washi

If you would like to purchase any of these products, or anything else for that matter, you can do so using the link in my sidebar.

I hope the storm didn't cause too much damage where you are yesterday. We were lucky to have the winds bypass us in Bolton...just a lot of rain.

Have a lovely Tuesday...see you tomorrow!

A quick card...

I have a pretty quick card for you today...my mojo was missing a bit last night so this is the best I can muster! Hopefully I will be feeling more creative today!

2 stamps sets, two colours, quick birthday card! What do you think of the 2 colours together? They are vibrant but I think you could get away with giving this to a guy.

Supplies
Stamps - Morning Post Alphabet, Happiest Birthday Wishes (retired hostess)
Inks - Crushed Curry, Bermuda Bay

Challenges

Did your little ones get through their first day (back) at school yesterday? Keiran was tired when he finished and didn't want to talk about it much at first, but he soon livened up and he seemed to enjoy his day!
Have a lovely Wednesday, and hopefully I will have something special to show you tomorrow... ;)

Partial Embossing using an Embossing Folder

Good morning!
And another bright and sunny one it is too!

Here is one of the cards I made at Jen's yesterday afternoon whilst there with Vicky too.

I decided I needed to try my hand at a male anniversary/valentine card as I have none in my box! Can you see how the card has been partially embossed? I did this popping my card blank into my Argyle EF and taping it shut so the card doesn't move. I then taped a strip of double thickness chipboard across the outside of the EF, where I wanted embossing. With the chipboard side down, I ran it through my bigshot missing the bottom clear plate. I repeated this step further down the card to create another strip.

The word 'love' is stamped onto the card blank using my brand new Morning Post stamp set, and I cut out the 'O' and popped it up for dimension! The button is made from the fabby Simply Pressed Clay...it has added no weight to my card at all! The hearts were sadly retired a while ago.

Supplies
Stamp - Morning Post
Ink - Real Red, Island Indigo
Embossing - Argyle EF
Other - Simply Pressed Clay & Moulds, Island Indigo Baker's Twine
