A card for a very special lady!

Good morning!
I have a really feminine, girlie Birthday card for you today. This was a commission for a lady at church who turned 100 on Sunday...yes, 100! And let me tell you, she really does not look a day over 80! She still walks well, without a walking stick, barely has any wrinkles and doesn't even need glasses! One very incredible lady!!

Anyway, about the card...

I have used a bit of the gorgeous, but retired, Twitterpated DSP and teamed it with some of the lovely new ribbons, and the Stippled Blossoms stamp.

The sentiment was created in Word, using the Stampin' Up! RGB codes to get just the right colour (if you would like the codes, please contact me).

Supplies
Stamp - Stippled Blossoms
Ink - Primrose Petals, Pretty In Pink, Pear Pizzazz, Pistachio Pudding, Baja Breeze, Island Indigo, Blushing Bride, Pink Pirouette
Ribbon - Blushing Bride Stitched Grossgrain, Pistachio Pudding Ruffled Stretch Ribbon
Other - Designer Builder Brads

If you would like to get some of the lovely products shown here, or in any of my other posts, please do contact me and I will be delighted to order them for you.

I think this card would have been perfect for my Grandma for her birthday too. It would have been her 95th birthday today and I'm sure she'd have loved a card like this. Sadly, she passed away 2 and half years ago, but she is still missed.
Happy birthday Grandma xxx

Thank You Chalkboards for Teachers

Hello!
Well, after a really busy week I can finally see the light at the end of the tunnel!
One of the reasons I was so busy is because it is the last week of school, so a teacher thank you cards were needed! Keiran's class in Reception has 2 fab teachers and 2 great teaching assistants, so I thought they should have special cards.

I have seen lots of little chalkboard easel style cards, so I thought I would have a go at one...

...or four!

I wrote the teachers' names on the back of each card with chalk, then to fix it, I sprayed them with hairspray.

The wood effect was made using the woodgrain stamp, and each vertical strip is 1.5cm wide by 14cm long, the horizontal strips are 1.5cm by 7cm. The black card base starts out as an A6 tent fold.

I stamped my sentiment using Vintage Verses (SAB, retired) and Sweet Essentials with a Whisper White Craft pad. The little tags are created using various punches, washi tape and a cheeky monkey stamp!

Supplies
Cardstock - Basic Black, Crumb Cake
Stamps - Vintage Verses, Zoo Babies, Sweet Essentials, Woodgrain Background Stamp
Ink - Basic Black, Whisper White
Punches/Dies - Chalkboard Framelits, Jewellery Tag, Petite Curly Label
Ribbon - Stitched Grossgrain, Linen Thread
Other - Gingham Garden Washi Tape

Sti[ppled Blossoms for the first time!

Good morning all!
How has your week been? Looking forward to a nice sunny weekend? I will be working, but we've had a wonderful week of sunny afternoons after work, particularly yesterday! My friend Emma and Keiran's second cousin Sophie came round for a bbq and water fight! I got soaked and thrown in the pool by Emma's other half Jamie! Much fun!

Anyway, the reason you're here is for my cards right? So here is a card I made the other night for my friend in Holland who sadly lost her Dad in the last week.

I used my lovely new Stippled Blossoms stamps and my Stamp-a-majig to make sure everything lined up perfectly. I stamped the flowers in Pretty In Pink and Chocolate Chip and the leaves in Wild Wasabi.

The butterflies are from the lovely Papillon Potpourri bundle and the sentiment is from Teeny Tiny Sentiments and the new Six Sided Sampler. Did you spot the little butterfly inside the card?

Supplies
Stamps - Papillon Potpourri, Stippled Blossoms, Teeny Tiny Sentiments, Six Sided Sampler
Ink - Pretty In Pink, Chocolate Chip, Wild Wasabi
Punches - Bitty Butterfly, Elegant Label
Ribbon - Wild Wasabi Stitched Grossgrain

Bright Blossoms!

Good morning!
How was your weekend? I had a very productive day yesterday mowing lawns, weeding, and planting some salad seeds, re-potting some seedlings and planting out our runner beans and some pea and dwarf bean seeds! Hopefully we shall reap plenty again this year!

After all that hard work in the garden, I was inspired to make a pretty summery, flowery card...

I stamped the Bright Blossoms set in Real Red, Old Olive and Tempting Turquoise. I used my trusty Stamp-a-Majig for perfect placement of these lovely stamps. It really does make life so much easier and I find it works brilliantly with any brand of wood or clear mount stamps!

The paper is from the fab Polka Dot Parade DSP pack and I finished with sentiments from the Tiny Tags set.

Supplies
Cardstock - Whisper White, Old Olive
Stamps - Bright Blossoms, Tiny Tags
Ink - Real Red, Old Olive and Tempting Turquoise
Designer Series Paper - Polka Dot Parade
Punches - Jewellery Tag, Scallop Trim Border
Ribbon etc - Whisper White Baker's Twine, Daffodil Delight Stitched Grossgrain

A Polka Dot Dress!

Hello!
If you follow me regularly, you will probably know that I love the All Dressed Up Bundle, and I have another card here using just the Framelits....

After I had punched the edge of the Baja Breeze Striped paper, I needed to trim the long edge to make it central, and it occurred to me that the strip would make a cute belt. Not only that, but I also rolled the last bit to make the cute flower!

Doesn't it look pretty? I really do think Polka Dots suit these little dresses so beautifully!

Supplies
Cardstock - Crumb Cake
Designer Series Paper - Polka Dot Parade, Subtles
Ink - Baja Breeze
Punches/Dies - All Dressed Up Framelits, Elegant Label, Scallop Trim Border
Sentiment - All Dressed Up
Ribbon - Stitched Grossgrain

Less Is More - Sketch

Good Morning!
I have to do this super quick this morning as I have to be in work at 9am! We're in our new shop now and we open half an hour earlier!

So this week at Less Is More, it's time for a sketch. So here is my card...

For this very simple card I stamped my flower from Love and Sympathy in certainly Celery and Blushing Bride (one of the new colours!) The sentiment is from Teeny Tiny Sentiments and is stamped in Old Olive and punched out with Word Window, then mounted onto Elegant Label. I paper pierced the edges of the panel with the Paper Piercing Essentials Pack, and finished with the ribbon which I trimmed to the white thread, leaving it stick out for a bit of interest.

Here is the sketch...

Supplies
Cardstock - Crumb Cake
Stamps - Love & Sympathy, Teeny Tiny Sentiments
Ink - Blushing Bride, Old Olive,
Punches - Elegant Label, Word Window
Ribbon - Stitched Grossgrain
Other - Paper Piercing Essentials Pack

If you would like to order any of these gorgeous items please do contact me...I'm here to help! :)

I had better dash now...enjoy your Saturday, whatever you're doing! :)

There's Only One You!

Morning!
Not much time to chat this morning as I'm on my way to work...just thought I would quickly share a card I made last night...

I have tried a couple of things I've never tried before on this card....The first, and most obvious is the frayed ribbon. This is the Two-Tone Ribbon in Pink Pirouette from the Spring/Summer catalogue and it was already a little frayed when I opened it, so that gave me the idea.

The second technique is stitching....actual stitching, with a machine!

I bought the machine 2 weeks ago and haven't had the courage to use it! But here it is...not perfect, but then I'm liking that!

Supplies
Cardstock - Basic Gray, Pink Pirouette
Designer Series Paper - Subtles, Neutrals
Framelits and punch - Hearts Collection, Small Heart
Stamp - Vintage Verses (SAB)
Ink - Basic Gray
Ribbon - Two-Tone, Stitched Grosgrain

I am really loving the grey and pink combo, but then anything with pink is a winner lol!

If you would like to order any of the above items, or get your hands on the retiring products (some colours, watercolour pencils) please do contact me.

All Dressed Up!

Evening all!
I have had a mad cleaning day today, as our recent holiday dog went home this afternoon...I love having the dogs to stay, but it's always nice to get back to normal too!

Anyway, here is another card I made using the fab All Dressed Up bundle...

I stamped the dress is Daffodil Delight and Basic Black Stampin' Write! Markers, then instead of using the framelit as it leaves a white border, I fussy cut it out.

I did use the framelit for the dressmaker's dummy though. I then added a 'pearl' necklace and finished with Daffodil Delight Stitched Grossgrain and a bit of feather from my stash.

I really love how retro this stamp is...wonder if a 'man' version is on the horizon....

If you would like to order any of these fab products, please do contact me and I will get them sent directly to your home for just £4.95 postage, whatever the size of the order!

I also have the current catalogues available to buy for just £4.95 including postage, or free if you join my Stampers 6 club!
