Happy Birthday Dad!

Hi and Happy Valentine's Day!
It's also my Dad's birthday today so I'm going to share the card I made for him...

I have used the Wetlands stamp set again, while I still have it on loan from Jen! I sponged the background using Soft Sky and Wild Wasabi, then stamped the birds. The goose was stamped in Early Espresso and I sponged Chocolate Chip ink over it to make it look 'real'. I then cut it out to give some dimension and interest.

I used my new Hardwood stamp for the background, stamping it with Sahara Sand onto Sahara Sand cardstock. I added some Crumb Cake Seam Binding across the middle and finished with my sentiment and a wooden button from the Designer Naturals buttons.

I used the sketch at Mojo Monday as my inspiration...

I do have a Valentine card to show you at some point this weekend, but it was a commission so I have to be sure it was given to the recipient before I can blog it!

Have a wonderful day today, whatever you're up to!

Very Vanilla Mosaic Thank you

Hello all!
Did you enjoy your weekend? We had a lovely time with Archie, but it's nice to be able to leave things lying around again without the fear of him grabbing it or chewing it lol! Mind you, he has grown up a lot since we last had him and is a lot calmer in general.

Anyway, here's a card I made last night whilst I had 10 minutes to play...

I very rarely use Very Vanilla card blanks and when I started this one I really wasn't sure how it was going to turn out, but I rather like it!

I used Mosaic Madness stamped in Raspberry and Coastal Cabana and a sentiment from Simply Sketched stamped in Sahara Sand. I then layered onto a Sahara Sand matt and onto my card blank. A touch of liquid pearls finished it nicely I think :)

Supplies
Cardstock - Very Vanilla, Sahara Sand
Stamps - Mosaic Madness, Simply Sketched
Ink - Coastal Cabana, Raspberry Ripple, Sahara Sand

Over the last few days I have received quite a lot of commission orders for cards for Christmas and birthdays, so I am certainly going to be busy for quite a while! I think I've counted 20 so far not including 7 packs of Christmas cards! Phew...best get off here and get on with them lol!

Happy Monday!

Plaited Organza Ribbon (not easy!)

Hellloo!
How was your Monday? No Monday blues I hope!

I have just spent about half an hour trying to plait 3 pieces of organza ribbon for a card! Now you would think it would be easy right? Well I guess it would be if I had any bulldog clips to hold it to something so it doesn't keep coming undone! Ah well, I got there in the the end!

So here is the card I made using it...

I also used Pink Pirouette DSP, Secret Garden Bundle, Summer Silhouettes and Teeny Tiny Sentiments.

I tore and distressed the edges for a bit of definition.

Supplies
Cardstock - Sahara Sand, Whisper White
Stamps - Secret Garden, Teeny Tiny Sentiments, Summer Silhouettes
Framelits - Secret Garden
Paper - Pink Pirouette Designer Paper (Subtles)
Ribbon - Lucky Limeade and Calypso Coral Organza

Don't forget, there are only 4 days of Sale-A-Bration left, so get your orders in now so you don't miss out on the free products for every £45 spent! If you would like me to order any of the items for you, please do get in touch!

Ice Cream Anniversary!

Oooh wouldn't that be great?? If Anniversaries were named after yummy foods instead of paper and wood lol! Ice-Cream, Chocolate, Sugared Almonds, Marzipan....Sorry, getting carried away!

I have another entry into the Less Is More colour challenge this week...

I pierced round the edge of my card first, with my Paper Piercing Essentials pack, then drew along the line to create 'stitching'. I then added my Very Vanilla Seam Binding and a Designer Vintage Faceted Button, with some Whisper White Baker's Twine which I coloured with Pink Pirouette to match my hearts.

I have used the hearts from the lurverly Hearts A Flutter set, and I've stamped them in various pinks. I then stamped the sentiment from Teeny Tiny Sentiments through the middle of the plain heart to look like an arrow. Perfectly placed using my Stamp-a-Majig of course! I raised this heart up for definition.

Supplies
Card Stock - Whisper White, Sahara Sand
Stamps - Hearts A Flutter, Teeny Tiny Sentiments
Inks (markers) - Pink Pirouette, Pretty In Pink, Blushing Bride, More Mustard
Ribbon - Very Vanilla Seam Binding
Baker's Twine - Whisper White
Other - Designer Vintage Faceted Buttons, Paper Piercing Essentials Pack

I'd love to feed your letterbox with some yummy Stampin' Up! goodies, so if you would like to place an order, please do contact me!

Less Is More Colour Challenge

Good Morning!
I'm excited this morning because it's my first market since December...I hope it's a busy one!

But quickly, before I go, I want to share this card I have made for the Less Is More colour challenge this week...

I have used the stunning Secret Garden set (again!) and stamped it with More Mustard, Pretty In Pink and Pink Pirouette markers and used the matching Framelits to cut them out. The embossing was using the free Vine Street EF from the Sale-A-Bration promotion, and then I colour the inside of the folder using Sahara sand and ran the card through the Bigshot again.

The sentiment is Teeny Tiny Sentiments.
I am also entering this into the sketch challenge at CAS(e) This Sketch, which was on my screen when I opened my laptop this morning!

Ok I must dash! Have a lovely day! At least the sun is shining here... :)

For Grandma

Good morning!
Wow, the sun is shining here! Looks like it's going to be a lovely day...and I have lots of indoor jobs to do...typical!

Anyway, here is a card for an order for Mother's Day. Sadly, the customer lost both her parents last year and she wants remembrance cards to place in the crematorium so this one is from  her children to her Mum.

I have used Flowering Flourishes stamped with Old Olive, Pink Pirouette, Pretty in Pink, Sahara Sand and Primrose Petals.

I used the Lacy Brocade Embossing folder and some paper from the Paisley Petals DSP pack.

The sentiment is computer generated in Word and I finished with some tiny gems from a nail art set and some pearls.

Supplies
Cardstock - Whisper White
Stamps - Flowering Flourishes
Ink (markers) - Old Olive, Pink Pirouette, Pretty In Pink, Primrose Petals, Sahara Sand
Embossing Folder - Lacy Brocade
Papers - Paisley Petals
