Ties for the modern man!

Jen and I had a debate yesterday, during our craft session, about whether or not I should use pink on ties, on a card, for a man. I said that men do wear pink ties, she thought it looked girly! I have, however, stamped a pink tie! I like it and Keiran's Dad used to wear pink ties all the time. Hmmm...maybe that's why it didn't work out... lol!

Anyway, here is the (offending) card! ;)

I used my newish Houndstooth and Stripes embossing folders for some texture, and cut the sentiment out using the small Framelit from the Apothecary Accents set for some shape.

Supplies
Cardstock - Crumb Cake, Poppy Parade (retired), Bashful Blue (retiring)
Stamps - Best Dad Ever, Teeny Tiny Sentiments
Inks - Pink Pirouette, Crumb Cake, Poppy Parade, Bashful Blue, Night Of Navy
Framelits - Apothecary Accents
Embossing Folders - Stripes, Houndstooth

If you would like to order any of the products I have used, please do contact me and I would be happy to help. Alternatively, you could join my next Stampers 6 club starting in June...see here for more information, and please feel free to ask any questions!

It's a Tie!

I bet that's not what the result of the Grand National will be tomorrow lol!

I have a quick card for you this evening that I made because I really wanted to enter the challenge at Retro Sketches this week...I loved the sketch, had an idea, so here it is!

I have used the Best Dad Ever set, and stamped the stripey ties in Basic Black and the spotty one in Basic Gray. The papers are from the Neutrals Designer Paper Stack, and I coloured my Whisper White Baker's Twine with my black ink pad before tying round the card in a double bow. The embossing was done using the Honeycomb EF. Quite a manly and classy card I think...perfect for that office worker!

If you would like to get your hands on this set, please do contact me and I will be happy to order it for you, along with anything else on your wishlist!

An early Father's Day Card!

Good evening all!
I have card I made today, in between commission cards, to show you...

The stamp set is Best Dad Ever, and I used colours that I pull from the very manly Parkers Patterns papers. The 3 circles at the top are from Bright Blossoms, which I really must use again soon as I love that set!

I stamped the red and yellow ties twice and raised them up on the original image for some definition.

Supplies
Cardstock - Whisper White
Stamps - Best Dad Ever, Bright Blossoms
Ink - (markers) Daffodil Delight, Marina Mist, Not Quite Navy, Cherry Cobbler, Basic Black
Papers - Parkers Patterns
Other - Regals Buttons, Cherry Cobbler Baker's Twine

I would be thrilled to order any of these items for you for delivery right to you. Please contact me if you would like to place an order with me!

I took Keiran to see Huddersfield play Bolton tonight at the Reebok stadium, but he was so cold and tired we left at half time. Although we (Hudds) lost 1-0, it sounds like the best half of the game was the second half...typical eh? At least I didn't miss a Hudds goal lol!

Speaking of tired...I better head to bed myself!
Goodnight!
