Dino Pop-Up!

Hello all!
I feel like all I do lately is apologise for not blogging! It's not that I haven't been crafting, I have! It's just that much of what I am creating has to wait for the recipients to receive the items before I can blog them! I do have one of those commissions here today for you though :)

This is a cute pop-up dinosaur card, using the sadly retired Dinoroar set. I do love this set though so you will still see it around my blog, I'm sure.

I do enjoy making these pop-up cards...and to know they give so much pleasure to the recipients makes it worth the hours it takes to make them! :)

As a Stampin' Up! Demonstrator and owner of my own handmade card business, I find this time of year extremely hectic, what with workshops, crafting parties, card commissions and making my own personal cards and gifts. However, I will soon be back to 'normal' and be able to blog more often, so please bear with me until then!

In the mean time, I am starting my new Stampers 6 club in January, and I only have a couple of slots left, so if you would like to join, please do contact me. You can read all about it here. If you have any questions, again, please do contact me.

I hope you have a lovely day planned...I shall be at work!
Bye for now!

DinoROAR!

Hello!
Here is another of my commission cards for you to see...

This is the gorgeous, but sadly retired, Dinoroar set, and I knew it would be perfect for this commission! I wanted it to be colourful so I had a little play with my Stampin' Write Markers.

I cut each of the little fellas out, and attached to the card, but I knew the Pterodactyl just had to fly, so I used some acetate from some packaging to attach him over the top of the card.

The background was created by 'stippling' Pool Party and Garden Green to create sky and grass. (remember this technique from the 90's decorating fad?!)

If you would like to purchase any of the products I have used here, please do visit my online store where you can also be entered into this month's Mystery Hostess club for your chance to win this month's hostess freebies!

Alternatively, please feel free to contact me with your order, or any queries you may have.

Thank you for popping by today! I hope you have a lovely weekend! :)

You're how old??

Good morning LIMettes!
I hope you've had a good week?
I've had a very busy one, but I have a week off after tomorrow, which I am very much looking forward to! We are going to Edinburgh and I can't wait!

Anyway, this week Chrissie and Jen have come up with the theme of...

Now I don't really have a lot in the way of humorous stamps so I decided to use one of my cute Dinoroars and a computer printed sentiment...

I paper pierced the top and bottom for some added texture.

I think the sentiment is quite fun!

Supplies
Cardstock - Very Vanilla, Baja Breeze
Stamp - Dinoroar
Ink - Soft Suede, Old Olive

I had quite a late night last night as Jen and I were at Keiran's school having a craft evening with some of the ladies from church making cards to sell at the summer fair. We had a lovely night using all sorts of Stampin' Up! goodies, plus some old craft stash of ours...it was very enjoyable and I think we will be doing it again for sure! Here are a couple of photos...

Crafters hard at work...

The fruits of our labour...

All in all, we made 61 cards in 2 and a half hours! I wish I could manage that at home lol!

So, that said, I'm going back to bed for a bit as I have no son, no work and no market today!

See you later!

I dig you!

Hey there!
Ok...the sun's gone :( But it's supposed to be back for our Bank Holiday weekend...yay!

Here is a card I have just made as I really wanted to enter the challenge at Retro Sketches this week.

I'm loving this little guy...love the set actually! This is from Dinoroar...one of my favourite sets! I stamped him in Stazon then coloured him with my Stampin' Write Markers. I then fussy cut him using my brand new Paper Snips...I have to say, I used to be a Poundland scissors girl....well after trying these, not any more! They are super sharp, small and have a very pointy tip which is perfect for fussy cutting.

I have used the speckled effect again, which is another effect I love! This is created using the Spritzer Tool. Woodgrain EF and Linen Thread complete this card.

Supplies
Cardstock - Whisper White
Stamp - Dinoroar
Ink - Various Stampin' Write Markers
Embossing - Woodgrain EF
Other - Spritzer Tool, Paper Snips, Linen Thread

Up in the sky!

Hello!
I hope you've had a fab weekend! I have been working most of it but I did get a crafty afternoon/evening with Jen on Saturday, and here is one of the cards I made...

Since I got my sewing machine I have been a little bit addicted to using it, so when I found a fantastic kit with loads of different threads and matching spools in Aldi for about £3.50 I had to have it! So I used the orange thread for this card, which is almost an exact match for Pumpkin Pie! I turned the wheel by hand for the circular bit though...not brave enough to try at full speed yet!

Supplies
Cardstock - Crumb Cake
Designer Series Paper - Subtles
Stamp - Dinoroar
Ink - Pumkin Pie, Bashful Blue

Have a lovely Monday!
