a Vintage Freestyle Collage kind of card!

Hello!!
How are you? Are you having a good week? I've had a busy one, emptying my craftroom ready to add some new staorage and a new desk! I can't wait to see how it will look! Of course, more storage means more room for stamps lol!

Anyway, here is a card I am particularly pleased with! I tried to make it 2 nights ago, but came to a standstill with it. You see, I wanted to make a card to enter the challenge at the brand new challenge blog, The Card Concept, using this picture for inspiration...

...but every time I tried, it seemed to go wrong! I wanted soft flowers and girliness, but it didn't go that way. Anyway, enough waffle...here is my card...

I used various stamps sets here...Simply Sketched for the sentiment, Happy Day for the medallion and Elements of Style for the bird. I fussy cut them both using my super sharp paper snips...I love them so much I have 2 pairs...a ribbon pair and paper pair!

I embossed the banner and the corner of the sentiment panel with Lacy Brocade EF, and the background is using Crumb Cake DSP (ret). I finished with Linen Thread, and some Liquid Pearls (not SU)

I said before that I'm entering at Card Concept. Well I also have to state what style of card I have gone with, and for this one I'm going with Freestyle Collage. The colours inspired me to go with a kind of vintage look too. I also used the sketch at Sweet Sunday too...

I'm off to Ikea tonight to buy some Expedits and Linmon (or something like that!) to transform my craftroom into an organised workspace! I shall post the pics when I've done! :)

Have a fab day...it's Friday!

Two Hearts

Good morning!
Here is one of the commission cards I made last week, that I think I am ok to show you now!

I kept it quite simple and elegant, again using up some retired Designer Paper. I also used the Lacy Brocade EF, hearts from I{Heart}Hearts and a computer generated sentiment.

I am entering this into the challenge at Deconstructed Sketch #112

I shall be back tomorrow with another of the commission cards!

I stamped my butterfly onto vellum for a soft, fluttery look.

A 1st Anniversary Card

Good morning!
Well I did get everything done yesterday...except the gym! Oh well... ;)

Just recently I have had card commissions coming in thick and fast, and here is one of them...

This is a 1st wedding anniversary card for a couple that I made a wedding card for last year! They had a black and white theme then, so I continued with that theme using some Designer Paper from the lovely Modern Medley stack. I embossed a couple of panels with Lacy Brocade and the heart folder from Adorning Accents.

The sentiment panel is created using Labels Collection and Ovals Collection Framelits and a computer generated sentiment. I finished with some gems and hearts from a retired set. (wish they'd bring it back!)

If you would like to order any of the products I have used, or any of the other fabulous new products, please do contact me and I will be very happy to place your order for you.

A Purple Wedding

Good evening!
I know I'm later than usual with my post today but I literally have not stopped all day!

I have the card I made for the happy couple at yesterday's wedding...

When I was handed the invitation for Richard and Andrea's wedding it was wrapped with the beautiful purple ribbon you see on the card. I decided to use it as the base for their card and teamed it with Perfect Plum Designer Series Paper. For the embossed panel I used the Lacy Brocade Embossing Folder.

I used the very simple layout from Seems a Little Sketchy for my card as I thought it was nice and elegant.
I finished the card with a few gems and die cut initials.

Supplies
Designer Series Paper - Subtles
Stamp - Marry Me
Ink - Basic Black

A very white card!

Good morning LIMettes!
I have had a fab week in Edinburgh with Keiran and my parents...pictures are to follow, I promise!

But for now, Chrissie and Jen over at Less Is More have set us a challenge of making of a card using the colour of our front door! Hmmm....that would be white then!

So here is my very white card!

I have used the Top Note die to create the cute little purse, folded some Whisper White Taffeta Ribbon in half for the handle and finished with a Vintage Faceted Button clasp. Oh and the embossing was done using Lacy Brocade embossing folder.

Supplies
Cardstock - Whisper White
Die - Top Note
Ribbon - Whisper White Taffeta
Embossing - Lacy Brocade EF
Other - Vintage Faceted Buttons

Sparkly dress up

Evening all!
After breakfast, a long dog walk in the park, lunch, then swimming,  I decided I really wanted to have a play with the All Dressed Up bundle I got in my last delivery...I've used it once last week but I wasn't very happy with it. So with a bit of playing, this is what I've come up with...

I decided I wanted to make a sparkly, girly, pink dress, but I didn't have any pink sparkly stuff. But wait! I have been known in the past to just colour something in if I didn't have the right colour. Sooooo, out came the Silver Glimmer Paper, a Primrose Pink marker et voila!

I have to say, I'm rather loving it and I'm surprised how well the glimmer paper coloured up! I shall definitely be using this technique alot! The tag is made using Pool Party card embossed with the Lacy Brocade folder and the sentiment is cut out using Word Window punch.

Supplies
Cardstock - Basic Black, Pool Party, Silver Glimmer paper
Stamps - All Dressed Up
Ink - Primrose Petals
Dies - Dress Up Framelits
Embossing Folder - Lacy Brocade
Punch - Word Window
Other - ribbon and gems from my stash

If you would like to order any of these brilliant items, or anything else from either of the catalogues, please do contact me

I also have the current catalogues available to buy - both Annual and Spring/Summer together for just £4.95 including postage, or free if you join one of my Stampers 6 clubs!

Christening #2

Good morning!
It's all bright an sunny here again, although there is quite a heavy looking frost...nicer than rain though!

I am going to show you another of the Christening/Baptism cards I made yesterday.

I have used the Crosses Of Hope set again, and stamped it in Pretty in Pink and Regal Rose.

The embossed strip is left from yesterday's card, and I stamp my sentiment perfectly in place using my Stamp-a-Majig.

Supplies
Cardstock - Whisper White
Stamps - Crosses Of Hope
Ink (markers) - Regal Rose, Pretty In Pink
Embossing Folder - Lacy Brocade

I would love to order these, or any, items from any of the catalogues for you, and don't forget to pick something from the Sale-A-Bration for free for every £45 you spend!

Christening card

Good evening!
I wasn't going to post this until tomorrow but I just notice the challenge at Freshly made sketches runs out shortly! So I had better get it linked up quickly!

I realised whilst on my stall at the weekend that I only have 2 christening/baptism cards left so I decided to make a few today, with my new Crosses of Hope set.

For this first one, I stamped the cross in embossing ink and embossed in white. I like the subtle effect. I embossed the panels either side and added some pink organza ribbon from my stash.

A close up of the cross...

It's tough to get a good photo of white on white embossing, but it's really pretty! I finished with the sentiment and some nailart gems.

Supplies
Cardstock - Whisper White
Stamps - Crosses Of Hope
Ink - Embossing, Pretty In Pink
Embossing Folder - Lacy Brocade

I would love to place an order for you...please contact me and I will be more than happy to help!

Don't forget, Sale-A-Bration is coming to an end on 22nd March, so get your order in now and choose your free items for every £45 you spend!

Phew! Think I'm on time!
I'll be back tomorrow...have a good evening! :)

For Grandma

Good morning!
Wow, the sun is shining here! Looks like it's going to be a lovely day...and I have lots of indoor jobs to do...typical!

Anyway, here is a card for an order for Mother's Day. Sadly, the customer lost both her parents last year and she wants remembrance cards to place in the crematorium so this one is from  her children to her Mum.

I have used Flowering Flourishes stamped with Old Olive, Pink Pirouette, Pretty in Pink, Sahara Sand and Primrose Petals.

I used the Lacy Brocade Embossing folder and some paper from the Paisley Petals DSP pack.

The sentiment is computer generated in Word and I finished with some tiny gems from a nail art set and some pearls.

Supplies
Cardstock - Whisper White
Stamps - Flowering Flourishes
Ink (markers) - Old Olive, Pink Pirouette, Pretty In Pink, Primrose Petals, Sahara Sand
Embossing Folder - Lacy Brocade
Papers - Paisley Petals
