Secret Garden Thank You

Hello all!
It's Thursday and that means time for a new challenge at CAS - Colours and Sketches, and this week I have chosen a colour theme that reminds me of Christmas. Though I have not made a Christmas card!

I have used Secret Garden for my flowers and leaves...it's a while since I used this set so it was nice to get it out again!

The sentiment is from Itty Bitty Banners. The inks I've used are Cherry Cobbler and Old Olive and the paper is from Season of Style.

I have used this sketch from Techno Stamper for my card.

Oooh and you know what?? I'm going to slip it in at Less Is More for their CAS Designer Paper challenge...3 entries in one week!!

Supplies
Cardstock - Crumb Cake
DSP - Season of Style
Stamps - Secret Garden, Itty Bitty Banners
Ink - Cherry Cobbler, Old Olive
Framelits - Bitty Banners, Secret Garden

Brum Brum Motorcycle !

Good morning on this damp and murky morning!
This is going to be a super quick post as I have to be at work for 9!

The challenge at Less Is More this week is

STRING or TWINE

so here is my very quick creation...

I used MDS to print the fab Motorcycle, which, by the way, is a huge image, and only £1.50! I simply wrapped Linen Thread around the card, paper pierced, distressed and finished with the sentiment from Itty Bitty Banners.

Ok, got to dash! See you soon!

A Happy Day Thank You

Hello!
Here is a quick card I snuck in between my commissions yesterday, because I really wanted to enter two challenges that end today.

I used the lovely medallion from the Happy Day stamp set, stamped in Basic Black onto Crumb Cake cardstock.

I embossed some Basic Black cardstock with the Woodgrain Embossing Folder and created the sentiment using Itty Bitty Banners and matching framelits. I finished with a couple of pearls and doodled corners.

If you would like to purchase any of the products I have used here, please do visit my online store where you can also be entered into this month's Mystery Hostess club for your chance to win this month's hostess freebies!

Alternatively, please feel free to contact me with your order, or any queries you may have.

Challenges

What are you up to today? I'm going to work, then baking sticky toffee pudding cupcakes for our Big Coffee Morning, in aid of Macmillan, at work tomorrow!

Have a good day!

Feel Better Soon

Good afternoon! (or is it evening now?)
I know...a very late post for me. As you may remember me saying yesterday, I had a bad stomach upset....well, it has taken a while to shake it, and even now I'm not convinced it's gone as I keep getting cramps. So I didn't craft anything yesterday, hence no blog post this morning.

I am pleased to say that I do have something to show you now though, that I made this afternoon :) I wonder if I surreptitiously made this for me?! ;)

I have used a couple of lovely stamp sets and a sentiment set for my card. I first of all cut the aperture in the top card layer using a Framelit from the Ovals Collection. I then stamped the oval from Oh, Hello in place on the base card using Lucky Limeade.

My lovely little 'kissed' bird was inked up with Tempting Turquoise, then 'kissed' with the same oval stamp as in the aperture before fussy cutting him out. The sentiment is from Express Yourself and cut out using Bitty Banners Framelits. Isn't that ribbon stunning? That is the new Calyso Coral Chevron Ribbon. I have it in all the colours and it really is lush! I think I shall be using it an awful lot!

Supplies
Stamps - Morning Meadow, Express Yourself (both Hostess), Oh, Hello
Ink - Tempting Turquoise, Lucky Limeade
Framelits - Bitty Banners, Ovals Collection
Ribbon - Calypso Coral Chevron

If you would like to order any of the other fabulous new products, and have the opportunity to earn some of the gorgeous hostess items, please do contact me and I will be very happy to place your order for you.

A Handmade Flower, or Two! (using Mosaic Punch)

Hello!
How are you today?
I have finally got round to entering this week's challenge at Less Is More! The theme is

HANDMADE FLOWERS

I LOVE flowers and using them in one way or another on my cards so I thought I would have a go at something I have been meaning to try...

From the minute I saw the Mosaic punch I just knew it would make fab flowers. And I was right!

I stamped and punch 5 'petals' from the Mosaic Bundle, using Calypso Coral cardstock and Basic Black Ink, and arranged them as above. The centre is another handmade flower using the brilliant Simply Pressed Clay. I have a selection of white clay flowers and buttons just ready to colour using my Stampin' Write Markers...I can match them to any project this way!

The scoring was created using my Simply Scored tool and the paper piercing used the Paper Piercing Essentials pack. The sentiment is from the Itty Bitty Banners set, cut out using the Bitty Banners Framelits.

Supplies
Cardstock - Whisper White, Calypso Coral
Stamps - Itty Bitty Banners, Mosaic Madness
Ink - Basic Black
Punches/Dies - Bitty Banners Framelits, Mosaic Punch
Tools - Simply Scored, Paper Piercing Essentials Pack
Other - Simply Pressed Clay, Simply Pressed Silicone Moulds, Pearls from stash
Ribbon - Basic Black Taffeta

A quickie!

Good evening!
I have a really quick card for you tonight that I made as I didn't want to miss the deadline at The Paper Players this week!

Quite simply, I inked up my Solid Stripes stamp with Island Indigo and Bashful Blue markers and stamped onto the panel before matting onto Crumb Cake. The sentiment is also Island Indigo and Rich Razzleberry and the button and ribbon finish it nicely, I think :)

Stamps - Solid Stripes, Itty Bitty Banners
Ink - Island Indigo, Bashful Blue, Rich Razzleberry

Need For Speed!

Good morning!
Here is another card I made at Jen's on Saturday...can you see a theme yet? Yup! Men! I needed some male cards so I have made quite a few!

I embossed my Night of Navy card panel with the Argyle EF, and then trimmed the edge for some shape. It was supposed to be the other way round but I didn't notice til the whole card was stuck down lol! I stamped the car in Rich Razzleberry and fussy cut it out, mounting it on Stampin' Dimensionals.

Cardstock - More Mustard, Midnight Muse
Designer Series Paper - Brights
Stamps - Need For Speed, Itty Bitty Banners
Ink - More Mustard, Rich Razzleberry
Framelits - Bitty Banners
Embossing Folder - Argyle

Get Well Wishes

Good morning!
I really wanted to post a card on Tuesday evening, that I made for an order, but the challenge had closed by the time I had, due to having a bit of a horrible afternoon! I went to the doctors as I have been in a lot of pain with my stomach for a few days, got a prescription, put the meds in the boot, then managed to crack Keiran on the head with the corner of the boot :'( So a trip to A&E so they could glue him back together, and by the time we got home, it was too late for anything! I am very pleased to report that Keiran has had no ill effects from his trauma and my stomach is starting to feel much better!

So before I treat him to a day out at Legoland Discovery, I am going to post a different card that I managed to put together last night...

I have used the Secret Garden Bundle here to make my flower, stamping it in Regal Rose onto Pretty In Pink card.

The sentiment is from Teeny Tiny Sentiments - I think I surreptitiously made a get well card for the both of us lol! I finished with a few beads for the centre of the flower.

Supplies
Cardstock - Pretty In Pink, Whisper White
Stamps - Secret Garden, Teeny Tiny Sentiments
Ink - Regal Rose
Designer Series Paper - Brights
Embossing - Honeycomb
Dies - Secret Garden & Bitty Banners Framelits

If you would like to order any Stampin' Up! items, please do contact me as I would love to make you and your letterbox smile! :)

Ok I'm off to get dressed, then off for a nice day out...enjoy your day, whatever you're doing!

Up & Away!

Good morning LIMettes!
After a week off work, I am back to normal now with the mad rushing around to fit in the Less Is More challenge before I go to work!

So imaging my horror when I saw that this week's challenge is

I, again, have nothing Stampin' Up! to fit this challenge! I have ummmmed and ahhhed at getting the Up Up & Away set, but as Jen has it, and I can borrow it if I need to, (doesn't help me now though!), I never have got round to getting it!

So some creative thinking again, and some drawing practice, and here is what I made...

Basically, I drew one balloon I was happy with, cut it out, drew round it twice, cut them out, and coloured them in! I had the challenge over at Fab Friday in my mind for the colours as I was going to make something to fit it last night but didn't get round to it!

The sentiment is from the Itty Bitty Banners set that is free as part of the Sale-A-Bration promotion when you spend over £45!

Products Used
Cardstock - Whisper White
Ink (markers) - Perfect Plum, Wild Wasabi, Baja Breeze
Stamps - Itty Bitty Banners
Dies - Bitty Banners Framelits

For you

Hello again!
Ok, I know I don't usually post twice in one day, but here is a card I've just quickly made to fit the challenge over at The Paper Players

The challenge ends in a couple of hours and I missed it last week...I like entering their challenges :)

I have used some of my new stash! I always thought paper piercing was easy, but wow it is so much easier with the fab Paper Piercing Essentials pack!

The pennant is from the Hearts a Flutter bundle, and the banner is from one of the free Sale-A-Bration sets. The heart is from the tiny tags set.
I am also entering it into CAS(E) this Sketch...I decided to copy it almost exactly as I loved the sheer simplicity of the sketch.

Supplies used
Cardstock - Whisper White
Stamps - Heart a Flutter, Itty Bitty Banners (SAB), Tiny Tags
Ink (markers) - Midnight Muse, Summer Starfruit, Primrose Petals
Dies - Itty Bitty Banners Framelits, Hearts a Flutter Framelits
Other - Paper Piercing Essentials Pack

If you are tempted by these gorgeous products, do please get in touch on 07915 698577 or email at lizyshouseofcards@mail.com

For every £45 you spend, you can choose any of the items in the Sale-A-Bration promotion, some of which are worth up to £13 plus!

I'm off to get changed as I'm off bowling again tonight! I did pretty well with my Dad yesterday so I'm hoping to do ok tonight!

Have a good Friday evening!
